I thought I'd really miss the HUD since I had one on my C5 and also on my C6, but, I didn't. The reason is that after sitting in a C7 the speedo's graphics are very large and I could easily read them without taking my eyes off the road. So I figured why waste money for a 2LT that has only one thing, the HUD, that I'd like and the rest I didn't care or needed. But, if money's no object go for the 2LT. As for me, I'd prefer to spend that same amount on other options. Just sayin'.

I had HUD in my 13 GS and loved it. Back then 2LT was about $2500. But on the C7, 2LT is like $4500 and the ONLY feature in 2LT I like is HUD. So for $4500, you don't have to move your eyes 6 inches.
HUD should be a stand alone option.

I missed the HUD in my base Stingray and the reason was you can have other displays on the dash besides speed. I was glad my Z came with it. So now the speed stays in the HUD and I can put anything else on my DIC....... LOL

On my C6 I ended up installing the HUD myself.
On my C7 1LT I really don't see a need with the great instrument cluster it has.

From all reports, retrofitting a HUD into a 1LT C7 is 10x the job it was on the C6. Many more parts must be removed, and the C7 dash *must* either be replaced, or the opening hand-cut and a bezel jerry-rigged to cover the cut to form the opening for the HUD. (no simple 'pop out the cover, pop in the factory bezel' like on the C6 dash )

NCM says last year 2LT was most popular in the coupe but for Z06 it was the 3LZ. Don't know abt vert results but it be at least 2LT by logic.

You don't get the subwoofer with the 1LT either, along with the HUD and no vented/heated seats. With an entertainments system in today's day and age a sub is pretty much a requirement for decent sound.
