PSA: Holy rattling doors!
Why didn't anyone mention the doors rattle like a ****? I've been rocking this whole time full blast and had no idea! From the inside it hits hard and sounds good. Thought i'd stop in a parking lot tonight and see how loud it is from the outside. Terrible!
Now I gotta get some sound deadening, STAT!
Actually, I knew this being a lightweight car, it wouldn't have any. I figured the rear would rattle with the sub, but not the doors. Sounds horrible from the outside.

Never noticed as I 1) don't stand outside my car with the radio on full blast
2) don't play it that loud as it interferes with outside sounds you should be aware of ( sirens, horns, people saying "nice car")

After reading your post title, I initially thought you got the results of your annual physical.

I had a couple minutes to kill, so I had to go see for myself. Lo and behold you are correct OP. It does rattle the doors on the outside, however I couldn't imagine playing this system full blast, not only does it sound bad, (inside or out) it'll blow the speakers.
Might be time for an upgrade. At least for a true audiophile.
As the saying goes. "No highs no lows, must be Bose."
Other than that, playing decent music at a reasonable volume the system is fine. IMO
Good luck with the project!

I have found that if the base it too high, it will cause a crackling sound which I propose it causing what can be perceived as a rattle.
You never know, you may have received a special gift from the someone on the line when they put your machine together. In my Cadillac, it was a couple of screws in the passenger door.

There is actually a TSB in this. My drivers side door was squeaking and rattling like I've never heard a car don before. Every bump would drive me nuts. When I had the recall done last week I mentioned this and they took the door apart and said there was a kit they put over some of the parts in there. It did quiet it down quite a bit but I can still here it over large bumps. Dealer told me there was a service bulletin on the door rattling.

I don't know if this is a risk to cars, but my son damaged the drywall in his house with ridiculous levels of subwoofer bass. If there is a lot of rattling taking place, I'd worry.

So, the Dynamat did nothing. Found this to be the actual door rattling against whatever is behind it. And, I don't have to press with my hand under the door handle area either like I first tried. Just a finger lightly pressed against where the armrest is will make it go away. I can poke at that area and tell it's hitting what's behind it like and 1/6 - 1/8 inch of space. Like, why wouldn't there be piece of foam or something in between?
The stereo guy and I think this is a defect. He said he can't get in behind the window motor and that maybe try the dealership because he's installed harder hitting woofers in same body styles and didn't ever hear that before in any other C7's. Kinda troubling, but i'm going to try the dealer. Someone has to be able to shove a piece of foam or rubber in between there to eliminate it.

My '15 coupe had severe drivers door rattle from the door speaker. Horrible buzz heard outside the car. Dealer added a bit of insulation and fixed the issue

So, I found a solution and have an appointment with the dealer tomorrow. Hopefully, they'll fix it under warranty.

Sorry I could not find the work order but the dealer should be aware of it. If I remember and have time tomorrow I'll call the dealer and see if they can give me the specific TSB number.
