IMO a tenth is a wash. It's impossible to drive a perfect lap, hence a .1 second difference being a wash IMO.
The 0-60 and 1/4 times are far in favor of the GT3RS. Braking and handling 1.2 G's in favor the Grand Sport.

Nor, should you. There are are as many if not more mechanical differences between a base and Z51 as between it and the GS.

So there's a Z51 Z07 package now?
The Z06 forum hates a GS owner entering their forum and the C7 forum gets defensive. Oh what to do???

I disagree.
What the forum doesn't tolerate well is obnoxious claims about the superiority of one vs. another. The same is true when a Z51 owner starts "bloviating" about how much better their car is over a base.

the grand sport did very well on the track. I'm sure it was an easy car to drive quickly.
I still think the z06 would be the car I'd choose.
I was wondering why the grand sport doesn't get its own forum section.
Within two years I'd imagine the grand sport will out number the same year z06 members here.

I'm fine with things the way they are. The base, Z51 and GS are close enough to the same car. The Z06 is an entirely different animal, so it makes sense to break that into a separate forum.

I imagine the g's didn't have its own forum when the c6 grand sport arrived in 2010 so it probably won't have one in the c7 forums.
Doesn't really matter although it would make it easier to spot grand sport related threads.
Although I'd lean towards a z06 as compared to the very impressive grand sport...
The performance and reviews of the c7 grand sport are quite positive.
Many in the media are stating they believe the grand sport is the sweet spot in the corvette lineup.
High praise indeed.
