Default New Body-Colored Vents are now Optional on the 2017 Corvette

Chevrolet is now offering body-colored vents for the C7 Corvette. What do you think of them? Yay or nay?

I saw a picture of a yellow GS yesterday and didn't care for it. I think the Carbon Flash is a nice contrast to highlight the vents.

I prefer the vents to blend in which is why I chose a NRB coupe.

Don't like the look at all. Like the carbon flash accents, Its a sports car they are supposed to be busy and flashy. Instead of offering junk like this as options why not offer the HUD as a 1LT option like they did years ago with the C5.

Yeah, it looks wrong. It's like they painted over it or something. Reminds me of the LT1 4th Gen camaros that got into accidents and didn't have the headlight cutouts painted black. The tail lights are okay as body colored. I wouldn't be opposed to that. Everything else, especially the hood, are better in carbon flash.

I expected to like it, but it looks cheap for some reason. The chrome wheels on the doesn't help either. I think that's the worst color scheme C7 I've ever seen (from the factory).

edit: and lol at getting body colored vents but still getting a carbon flash spoiler

If they are going to do it, then do all of the vents, looks silly with the rear brake inlet still black.
Some are going to like it, some not. I prefer the carbon flash ( really wish they were just plain ole black )due to the contrast.
To me that wide body with chrome wheels and no contrast is boring...jmo.

Body colored vents were on the "accessory list" starting with the introduction of the C7 in 2014. BUT, they were "on constraint" for all of 2014 and 2015. They were available for all of 2016. Aside from all the badmouthing here about how they look, I was probably one of the first 2016 purchasers to get "body colored vents" on my white C7. I've had the car to numerous car events and at first people know something is different but not sure what it is. And, to date, everyone that commented on the look, has said they like it better than the standard black vents, especially on the hood and rear deck. As an aside, I actually bought my car from MacMulkin, the OP, a year ago.

As I was rubbing on my car yesterday I started thinking about what other color would look good on a silver C7. I didn't consider making them the same color at the body paint. I think some of the sevens would look good and some would look not so good. I like the contrast on mine. I get a lot of Thumbs up with it too.

My 2017 GS had flat black grill and body color quarter vents
I swapped them both for carbon flash pieces much better now

I have a white 2016 with black vents and I will say I really like the body color vents on this color and wish I had ordered them.

Good Luck , Whatever you decide.

Depends on the colour of the car... some look better, some not.

For me, it depends on the color of the car as to whether I would like body colored vents on it. But I agree with the poster above, they should offer the HUD as a stand alone option on the 1LT.
