Default From All Over The Country I finally will meet these Special Dozen at Spring Mountain*

*Late April of this Year I attended the Corvette Bash at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY...I came up with the idea of gathering a dozen of my Corvette customers and meeting up at the Spring Mountain Race Track in Pahrump, Nevada for their Corvette driving school experience. Now I have tested/raced Corvettes on many tracks thru out the US of A...but this will be a very special event. Even though I have been to Spring Mountain 10+ times, I am most looking forward to this trip as 8 of the 12 customers I have never met! I sell Corvettes Nationwide and about 75% of my Corvette Sales are out of State. So in todays computer age I can drop ship for Courtesy delivery, enclose truck or Corvette Museum deliver Corvettes and never meet the client as everything is done over the phone and then paperwork completed via Fed Ex. So this past May I sent out an email to all my Corvette customers in my data base and the first 12 to respond could take advantage of GM paying 60% of the tab for their Corvette school adventure along with me. I even have a Chevrolet dealer from Imperial, Nebraska to join us as well!
~So tomorrow (Saturday) morning I fly out of Baltimore, MD and will land in Las Vegas in the early afternoon. I will be staying in the Condo's on site at Spring Mountain tomorrow thru Wednesday morning(Oct 1st-5th). Sunday morning I will be playing Golf at The Revere Golf Club with a fellow Corvette owner. Sunday eve at 6pm the lucky 12 and I will have a dinner party and watch some Football at the Clubhouse inside the gates of the Spring Mountain facilities. I also put together a goodie bag for all attendee's. ~Monday and Tuesday we will drive like the wind in Corvettes provided by the Race Track and get some on track knowledge of the 2017 Corvette/Grand Sport and Z06. Wednesday is a travel day and I will be back in the office on Thursday 9am EST. There will be no Sunday Morning delivery post this week(Oct 2nd) but next week's post will be double the fun as I report on our "Furman's Dozen" shared Corvette school meet/greet and race.
~I have traveled to many Corvette events in my 39 years selling Corvettes...but this week will be very special and I really am looking forward to it with a ton of enthusiasm. As I reflect on closing in on nearly 4,000 Corvettes Sold...my goal of 5,000 is hopefully within reach thanks to the success of the 7th Generation Corvette...The C7 is truly a World Class Sports Car!

*I will post pictures on my CorvetteFurman Facebook page...check em out.

What a fantastic idea Mike. I'll bet the Flying Furman Bakers Dozen will have a blast at Ron Fellows.

Enjoy your time at Spring Mountain Mike! I am sure that my father (Sid Harchelroad) will make your time even more fun. Best of luck with the first introductions to your customers. It is you who makes us other dealers try harder each year!

Have fun, Mike. I know how much fun you're going to have as I thoroughly enjoyed my C6 Z06 school there.

Nice shot of you and JB. I take it you couldn't get him into a Corvette.

JB has bought several Corvettes, his last one is a 2009 ZR1.

Never got an invite. Guess I'm not one of the chosen ones. Nevermind...

I thought you were going to be there tomorrow. We were going to come out and stomp grapes at high noon.

I am a big Baseball fan and love the history of the Sport. Back in 2011 I had a Corvette customer that invited me to a game at Fenway. So I flew up on a Saturday eve and stayed over night at the Sheraton. He picked me up in the morning and gave me a tour of Boston, my first time there, and then we attended the game. He paid to have my name up on the scoreboard in the middle of the 5th inning. Pretty cool thing of him to do.
I flew home after the game.

*I am rooting for a Red Sox vs Cubs World Series.

Mike

Default Awesome Trip Mike

Wow, you have an amazing trip planned. I like that you are getting a round of golf in too. Have a great time, you deserve to have fun and I bet it will be great meeting in person your customers.
I look forward to the pictures next week.
Thanks for the update Mike,

Gordy

Oh, now you lost me. Since they're right smack in the middle of your hometown, it should be Orioles v. Nationals, although the former is a long-shot.

I am about to lose you again...I grew up a Mets/Yankees fan as I was born and raised in Montvale, NJ....but I do root for the two local teams, Nationals/Orioles as I have lived in Maryland since 1989.
