Can not remove oil filler cap from dry sump tank
#3
The seal does get a little sticky if the cap hasn't been off for awhile. Rotate all the way counter-clockwise (about 120º) as you did, and then try tapping it with the plastic handle of a screwdriver. That should break it loose. It's kind similar to breaking the seal on a jar of pickles by tapping it with a butter knife.

Had the same trouble with my new Grand Sport first time I checked the oil. I had already ordered a Mobil 1 cap. Tried like hell to get the factory one off and wam it came off and fell down to never be found again. Put the Mobil 1 on ,all good. I figure 50 years from now, someone will find the OEM cap and think wow. ....original Dex cap

I can't see a catch can making it easier to remove the cap on a dry sump tank. The more times you remove the cap, the easier it gets over time.
A couple of months ago, I replaced the Dexos-marked cap that came on my 14, with a new Mobil 1-marked cap. The original Dexos cap was easy to remove after being on the car for a couple of years. The new Mobil 1 cap is tougher to remove, even when the car is cold.
