Hmm my google-fu is weak. I can't find a guardian cargo net. I found a gladiator net, they have a 4x4' net, but it's more of the kind to hold stuff down, not really a basket. I don't know if that's the same one:

I kept my C6 cargo net and use it all the time. The size actually helps with some larger items I don't want to go flying forward.

I have a convertible and use a net from a Tahoe. It's bigger and works better foe me than the smaller one that came with the car.

Gladiator is the correct name, sorry about that. This net is not customized for the car and thus not a perfect fit, but I am satisfied that most cargo will be prevented from coming forward in a collision. It would be better if the Corvette had 2 additional rings at the rear of the compartment. Pictures to come.

I have something similar to JerryUs pics in my C5,

the OEM cargo area cover and net that comes with the C7...oh wait, ... it's an option on the 1LT, standard on 2LT.
Anyway, the cover clips to these 4 D rings in the front and elastic hooks To the recessed pins in the rear of the hatch.
Anything that doesn't fit in or behind the net across the back ... if it tries to slide forward, is caught by the cover...

Pictures of Gladiator cargo net attached. In one of them I have used fishing thread to hold straps in position for the photo; in actual use I will use some strong rope.

I bought one of the 3 compartment nets from Amazon. It does a pretty good job.
Can anyone recommend a "flat" net that connects to the 2 front rings and the 2 hooks in the rear to hold larger items in place?

Ditto that. I got one right away and so did 3 friends. Best thing it's only $12.99. Wow!

Those inexpensive nets are fine for holding things in place during normal driving but are of zero use for protecting passengers in a collision. The Gladiator net in my post above does serve that function.

Hmm...Unless you put a box in that thing, it does not look like it would be much good for groceries and things like the tape dispenser this thread was originally started for. For the suitcase in your pic, it almost looks like overkill.

I have the one that came with the 3LT trim but just ordered the 3 compartment for $12.50 from amazon with 2 day delivery.

My purpose for using this net is entirely safety. I don't want anything heavy coming forward to injure me in an otherwise survivable collision, to include that suitcase I included in the photo as an example. I have the same net (larger size) in our SUV. Most people don't seem to worry about this safety hazard, but I do. I agree, for short trips around town with groceries the aforementioned elastic nets are more convenient.

I like the way Frodo installed his factory net up at the front. I did ours that way yesterday. It will be a good way to carry our 2 umbrellas in case it rains.

Is there a GM part number for this? I don't think I got one and seems like exactly what I need.

Edited -- I looked over the bags that came with the car and found this, thanks! Otherwise I wouldn't have thought to take a second look at what came with the car haha.

I put the 3-compartment net from Ebay on my 2015, then transferred it to my 2017. Much better than the stock net, which I put in the location recommended by Frodo.
