Heads Up Display - like it or not?
Myself, well I was impressed with the HUD however when my brother drove the car he hated it and asked to shut it off. I wrote it off to one person not liking something. Next my wife drove the car and also said it bothered her and said it made her seasick?
Kind of wondering if anyone else has run into that?

Mine has it and I think it's a great tool, but I'm finding that I'm not a big fan of it and actually have been running with it off and don't miss it. Doesn't make me seasick or anything, just haven't warmed up to it. Perhaps, if I was tracking the car, I'd find it more useful.

The HUD can be distracting until you are used to it. Make sure it is as low as possible in the driver's view and not too bright.
Personally, it was a requirement on my C6 and C7. I miss having a HUD in my other cars.

HUD is awesome. I'm trying to figure out how to add it to my other car.

Had HUD on my C5 for 16 years, love as well on my Z, but wish the HUD had more options like the C5 for its set up, especially the turn signals.

I am so accustomed to HUD that when I drive a car without it I miss it! 3 C5's out of 4, 3 C6's out of 4 and all our C7's (3) have had HUD. So only two out of eleven did not. Enjoy your car and who cares what others dislike about it.

I love it, and I miss it when I have to drive a car that doesn't have one.

I absolutely love and use it all the time. If your wife does not like it but you do when your wife drives the car she can simply lower (via the hud height adjustment switch) it out of her viewing range.
One thing I know is, lots of owners asked if they could add a HUD because it was a mistake not to get it. But no owners posted "how can I disable the HUD".

I had HUD on the C5 I picked up in 2012. Used it all the time. When I bought the C7, HUD was right at the top of the "must have" list. However, I find the C7 dash is so well laid out, I don't always look at the hologram. Still I'm glad I have it.

I have it in my C6 and very seldom look at it. About the only time I look at it is when I'm playing around in the twistiness and I'm interested in seeing the g's I'm pulling.
If I'm seriously doing the twisties, I ignore the HUD, as I have to re-focus my eyes to read it and that means I'm not concentrating on the road in front of me.
If I'm running through the gears(acceleration contest), I'm looking at my HUGE analog tach directly in front of me so I can shift at exactly 6,800 RPM's. The HUD is no good for that. To hard to get a good reading and I don't want to hit the REV limiter.
To me, it's a gimmick.

We all are allowed opinions, this is a major benefit to being American...
...Your wife and brother are wrong though.

My C7 is the first car I've ever had with the HUD, and I am definitely a fan!
It's not like I couldn't live without it, but I do certainly like it!
