Default Head restraint

Has anyone been rear ended in their C7? How far does the head restraint sit from the back of your head? Just curious because many mfgs have gone to articulating head rests rather than the one piece head restraint system. I was rear ended in my C7 Z51 and suffered severe whiplash damage to my neck. 16 screws and two rods later I am curious if anyone has had a similar problem.

My guess is that would happen to me as my head is well above the seat back. Not anything there to stop head movement.

Sorry to hear about you getting hit, never good. I put special foam headrest inserts on mine. Now I didnt do that with the expectation of being hit from behind but rather because of the pretty severe acceleration they hold your head from snapping back. Amazon has them.

Thanks for your kind wishes. I'll never be the same but at least no wheelchair in the future
