Dyeing white stitching on interior of C7
Has anyone ever tried Dyeing their white stitching? I know someone who used a RED Sharpies and it looks Phenomenal. Perfect. Would never know. BUT yellow doesn't come out good. Someone at a local dealer mentioned they heard food coloring works good. Anyone?????

I used a fabric marker by Zig. Bought it online for about $5 it was like $2 for the marker and like $3 for shipping. The color came out great, and everyone who sees it thinks it came like this from the factory.
There are two choices in yellow when ordering, this is the one you want

LOL glad I could help. I think you may be able to buy the maker at a fabric store if you wanted to shop around, but I just ordered it on line. Just google Zig fabricolor markers. Take your time doing it as it is a bit tideous, but trust me you won't be disappointed with the results and this color matches perfect. I did about 12"-20" sections at a time and just wiped off the excess with a micro fiber towel. There is a thread somewhere on here of others who have done it.

I am so excited. Just picked up my Yellow Z Tuesday and it didn't have that option. Saw it on someone C7 convertible before and loved it. Makes a huge difference

Took me about 3 -4 hours more or less. Not sure about suede, but as far as leather it wipes right off. If you get any on the leather (and you will) just use a micro fiber towel and wipe off the excess before it dries and you shouldn't have ant problems.

There is a thread on here called "best mod for $2.49" or similar, search around and you'll find a ton of folks doing it and posting pics.

That's what I meant about doing it right.....3 to 4 hours of tedious work but from all the pictures I've seen very well worth it! Glad mine came with red stitching already, not sure I'd have the patience and/or beer to get this done properly.

im in the process of doing mine, in red. same markers as mentioned above. I bought several markers and tested out the colors and this was the best red i thought. The others, including sharpie looked orange or pinkish. I've done about half so far a few weeks ago and got tie up in house renovations. She'll be finished over winter. Looks great!!!

I'm at 99% on doing this mod, and even have the markers. Since some have had their's done for awhile now, can you tell me how the dye is holding up? I understand it may need to be re-dyed at some time, I'm hoping it last a good amount of time.TIA
