Thanks Everyone. Full disclosure, while in school, I worked at a collision shop for 3 years when I was young. You learn lots of tricks along the way. PLEASE don't take a high speed polishing wheel and lay on your paint, you WILL create wheelmarks, if not destroy your paint beyond repair. For the heavier OP spots (doors, QP) I used 3M medium cut polish followed by a light foam pad 3M dark color glaze. Did not wet sand, instead used high speed to my advantage as I don't know how thick the clearcoat is in all areas. Used a clay bar for smoother areas that only had minor contamination.
I purchased the Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Coating kit from Autogeek (thanks to a very helpful member's recommendation). After you get your paint to your satisfaction, the kit will give you all else you need; prep polish, various applicators, plush towels and 3 coatings specifically for paint, glass and high heat areas like wheels.
Step 1: Pinnacle Surface Cleansing Polish. Water based, apply to all areas you are coating. Ok to use machine, but I did it by hand.
Step 2: apply paint coating to paint by hand, I did approximately 3'x3' areas as the product dries within about a minute. Buff all high areas (they appear as steaks). Move on to the next section.
Step 3: repeat on wheels and glass.
Note: You MAY have some light streaking. The very light streaking will usually even out within a few hours. If you have heavy steaking, chances are you're in trouble and not applying it properly. You are applying way too much product causing heavy high spots. Rub rub rub as once it dries, your alternative is to polish it off and start again.
Hope this helps. This is for someone who enjoys spending time in the garage. If not, well worth paying a trusted detail shop to do this for you. Once complete, you will NOT regret it. I thought you couldn't make a brand new black car look any better. I was wrong.
Member nmvettec7 was incredibly helpful in this process. I believe in paying it forward. Please feel free to ask. Will be glad to help answer what I can

Looks great.
One question, how long will this process last until you have to reapply?

3 years on the paint, 18 months on the glass. However my cars are summer only and never even see rain. So I'm assuming mine might last a bit longer.

Car looks wonderful .... thank you for giving Pinnacle's Black Label Coating a try. Your results are stunning.
I would share that within the Black Label line there is a booster product. If you don't want to , nor have to , reapply the coating consider using the booster spray every 4-6 months to keep the finish and protection in top shape.

Will wash for the first time tomorrow evening. Curious about the water reaction.

I highly suggest using a waffle weave towels to dry for superior results. I believe the waffle weave towels were part of my instructions and method to you.
Use one waffle weave towel for the windows and another for the painted surfaces. I usually use different colors of towels, red for the windows, beige or gray for the paint surfaces.
Let us know your comments after washing. It will be a breeze to wash and dry due to the ceramic coating.

You will be amazed at what you see and how the water reacts to the nano-ceramic coating.

I used the PBL products on several of my cars after a thorough polish cycle. Look especially good on the dark colors. The Vettes don't see much weather so durability should be excellent. I've also used the PBL on a dark red daily driver (my 'experimentation' vehicle for appearance products) and it still looks great after a wash, however after one year on that car the water behavior shows the coating is deteriorating, not surprising for going through a Northeast Ohio winter. My intention is to lightly polish and re-apply every year.
The wheel coating repels some brake dust and road crud, but the real benefit is that the wheels clean up far more easily, and they look freshly detailed after washing far longer. Again will remove the wheels and re-apply annually.
I don't see much difference with the PBL glass product. I also prefer other products on the yellow and silver vehicles.
