Who here daily's their C7?
I just got my '16 1LT Z51 a few weeks ago and I daily it. Put like 1200 miles on it in 2 weeks. Love driving it but sad about the fact so many miles are getting on it so quickly. Might buy a 10k civic for work commute. Either way, who here DDs their Vette and how many miles?

I DD mine, at least until the snow flies. Just too much fun to drive! Putting on way more miles than average, as I end up taking longer routes to do just about everything. Running about 1000 miles per month, which is rather high for me.
This will be the first car that I store for the winter/salt months, so hopefully it will average out a little.
EDIT: I do draw the line at valet parking. If I have to valet park the old RX350 SUV comes out . . .

Almost 30K miles and I only drive it from April till October depending on the weather.
Even the valet drives it. It's a car, GM will build me another one just like it.

I dd mine all year 'round. That's what I bought it for. Got tired of "settling" for a lesser daily driver. I spend a lot of time commuting at 2+ hours a day (often longer) so I might as well enjoy it.

I drive mine whenever and wherever I want. Have never understood the garage queen aspect of owning a C7. They won't be collectable in my lifetime and maybe not ever. Like a previous poster said, GM will build another one, actually thousands, so why not enjoy it while you can. No one is getting any younger.

I've driven my '14 daily unless it's icy or snowy (live in western CO) since I bought it 2.5 years ago. I don't understand why it would be "sad" to put miles on it. It puts a smile on my face. I have no desire to baby it and save it for the next owner. It's a car, drive it!

Got my 2016 2LT Z51 at the end of May and now have 11,000 miles on her. Yes it is my DD until snow flies.
Here's how I see it... I could park it in the garage, take it out only on bright sunny Sunday's and put 1000 miles on it in the next 10 years. What a waste of money.
My goal is to put 250K miles on it and get every dime of return out of it that I can. I'll average 20K miles a year on it as a summer DD. And it will be a blast everyday I drive it. Part of the fun is driving it for work everyday I can. Seriously why bother having it if you are going to buy a Honda to commute with. It's a car, a fun car, have fun anytime you can including driving to work.

I keep mine as a reward for after those rough weeks at work. I busted my **** to be able to have my Z while not impacting my quality of life (I've got three kids) so it's the one thing that I set aside for when I have some time for myself. It's a symbol of how far I've come, so I savor it for when I really feel I've earned a ride.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Drive it Everyday!
Purchased 10/20/2013 C7 Z51 #3563. I didn't start out planning for this to be my DD, but have a BLAST in it everyday. SoCal weather allows for year round fun, so WHAT THE HECK?! I took it in for service this past Saturday, 60,503 miles on the clock. The service guy was astonished. "Man, you've really got a lot of miles on her. Most we usually see is 10,000 miles in 6-8 years." My reply, "I'm at a different point in my life. My car is my transportation, and not a weekend toy, I drive about an hour one-way to work, and smile at all the folks with sad faces in put-put Hondas. Actually, I feel sorry for the guys that buy these and stick 'em in the garage." Will I ever get top dollar on a trade? Nope! Don't care either...this will be my DD when I buy my next Vette.
He also told me a story about a guy, he had a two mile driveway. Purchased an '02, I think. By the time he traded it in, he had 6800 miles on it in 2010...mostly driven in his driveway!

Daily driver. Nearly 2200 miles in 9 weeks. I put 12K a year on my last car (had it 6 years) and intend to do the same with this beauty.

Mine is my DD. I put about 14k a year on it. Weather in Dallas allows me to drive year round. Only time I wish I had a beater car is for the occasional ice we get or if it's raining and I just don't feel up to the two hour wash/detail I do after every drive in the rain. Even though it's my DD I also like it to look like a show car!

Living in Austin, Tx where the winters aren't to bad I have put 27,000 on mine in the past 20 months. This includes several weekend jaunts in the hill country and one trip to Denver and one to Bowling Green.
Getting ready to buy an extended warranty from Dennis Fletcher, then I will be good until 75,000 miles.

I drive my 16 Stingray every day I need to go someplace. I also own a pickup so I drive that whenever I feel the C7 won't or can't do the trip, i.e., a trip to the woods on gravel roads and dirt trails.
