Default Navtool Customer Service

I called Navtool last week with every intention of placing an order, but I needed clarification as to just which items I should order.

I was shocked when the guy at Navtool told me that they would not give me any information over the phone -- that I should look at their website.

Since he had a very heavy oriental accent, I thought, perhaps their reasoning was a language barrier.

So, I asked to be transferred to their technical department in order to ask a couple of questions concerning installation. I was dumbfounded when the fellow told me that they would answer no technical questions over the phone. He said that I should submit any technical questions via email.

I cannot believe that any company with that kind of customer service can stay in business.

Their customer service policies cost them 1 order, for sure.

Those folks are nuts!

I purchased my Navtool not too long ago. I've got same response as you had and i'm glad I did. I took my time to check the website and learned about the products and accessories I would need, so it makes perfect sense. I also had questions about installation and everytime I got an answer and hang up the phone , new question was born in my head. I ended up exchanging over 20 emails prior to making a purchase. I think calling support and staying on hold doesn't make sense vs emails that you can write at your own pace.

They are crooks. Some have actually gotten their products and are happy with them. Many of us, they lied and cheated. They were even banned from this site. I disputed the credit card charge and they even lied to the bank and stated they shipped the unit. But of course they could not provide any tracking information. Took six months for the bank to see through all their lies. I would have thought that with all the disputed charges, the banks would have refused to do business with them and shut them down but apparently not.

I personally had a great experience , and you don't make any sense. You are calling them crooks just because they are asking you to visit their site or email their support???? I purchased Navtool simply because I found 100's of happy users on this site alone

OK, glad you are happy. If telling lies to a bank by making false statements that they shipped a product when they did not on a disputed cred card charge does not make them crooks, then I guess HRC is not a crook either. Caveot Emptor. Read all the thread about them if they are still out there.

Or maybe they are back trolling?

I'm not going to defend their phone guidelines. I have the NavTool. It works as advertised. I got the unit for the advertised price. There was a delay. There was a software update that was discovered after it shipped out. The update was painless, quick and corrected the "default" camera in the Navtool. I know of 3 people here in Jacksonville that have the unit and the unit works for all of us.

This thread will answer any and probably all of your questions about the saga of the NavTool: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...tallation.html

I'm done.

After you get screwed for $2000-HMI upgrade , you'll be praising a solution for $300

I bought one of these units couple of months ago. The instructions that came with the unit were joke. Thanks to Elmer post I installed it in about 2 hours including the front camera. It has been working well since then. So don't know about customer service but unit works well
