I really like the black but feel all black wheels need something going on with the rim to define the end of the rim and the beginning of the tire. Vinyl tape worked for me.
It truly is an age thing, younger people prefer the black from my experience.

I've mentioned this before, but I think chrome is more matched to metallic colors and stripes. Chrome draws the eye, black pushes the eye away, at least for me. Black is more subdued but also more sinister/smoother.
As for age, it makes sense. Chrome has been popular since the 50's, maybe earlier, where many luxury cars had loads of chrome, not just the wheels. Black came into vogue in the 90's.

Was never a fan of Black Wheels, however I am not really a fan of Chrome wheels either. I always preferred the Machine Faced aluminum or Silver painted wheels. With that said, I am picking up this Black wheeled Stingray tomorrow!
