So sometimes it will be a nice day out and I will take my Vette to run a few errands, I always park in the back next to nobody. Every time I come out of the store and go to my car someone parks right next to me when there are plenty of other spots and they decide to park way back next to me. Kinda annoying when I have to squeeze myself into the car. Just curious if this happens to anyone else.

Yeah and when someone parks so close to you that you cant even open your door...
Yeah im the one giving us a bad name....
I was 100% within my right to be pissed off, if you cant even get in one side of your car because of how close they park who is really the ******* here?
Also i have no issue if they park a spot away thats fine as i stated, or like the post above another nice car has parked next to me, as long as they keep a respectable distance its not an issue but dont park 3 inches from my car

When i had my old c5 before my c7 i just got i did this too and one time i parked in the absolute back clearly 50 spots from anyone and probably 100 to the movie theater....i walked out with my dad and saw this crappy old toyota truck parked right next to me and the whole walk out i was telling my dad "look at this stupid motherfu***r blah blah blah" turns out the dude had been walking about 50 feet behind me i recognized from the same movie we went to see....
When i realized he was walking behind me to his truck i gave him a mouthful about how people park in the back to get away from other cars to protect their property. Long story short the guy thought he was being funny but to be honest like why bother people who park far away they are not taking all the good parkig spots up front so leave them alone....if you want to admire the car and park close to it keep your distance a spot veing inbetween...
Idk my two cents

Safety Car
Hmm, only happened a couple times. Both time it was a real beater of a car, so I guess they were just pulling my chain . . . but neither time was there any damage. But gave me a bit of a rush.
Sometimes, like in the photo above, I am lucky enough to pick up a wingman after I park to keep me safe . . .

It happens all the time, I used to park the at the end of parking lots everywhere.
This guy clearly has 50+ empty spots and he just parked next to me.
There was enough space to open the door, but still makes me wonder why!

There is "funny" and then there is fking with someone's Pride & Joy.
I think my reaction would have been a lot stronger.

No doubt you've worked hard, like the rest of us, to afford a nice car. Be happy and enjoy it. Just don't kid yourself that your Corvette is deserving of special accommodations.
Have a nice day.

And like an above posts says when someone thinks they are being funny its not really that funny to the owner like me....i could have way over the top blown this out if proportion but all i did was complain about it as i walked to the car and then basically yell at the guy for being a blatant ******* which he thought the whole thing was just some giant joke and didnt care....so you thinking that im the problem or am overeacting couldnt be farther from the truth...
But we will have to agree to disagree
You can accept every other car parking right next to you and i will continue to parking in the far back and making sure my car doesnt get a million door dings

Years ago I went to a barbershop. The barber cut hair quickly. When he was done, he'd say, "Step down. Next!" This is how I deal with life's problems now...as life's problems occur, I say to myself, "Step down. Next!" I don't dwell or hold onto problems-just go to the next one and deal with it.
Have a great day.

Maybe because he thought you'd be more careful than the average driver when it comes to respecting his ride.

I think that's the rule...but I did have an interesting experience with this a few months back.
Marina and I took a drive over to Walmart to pick up a few things (as if you could buy much, stuffing into a top-down Vette.).
Walmart being Walmart, I parked in the hinterlands. The Walmart was so far away, it was almost below the horizon line. There wasn't another car for blocks. We grabbed water, an emergency snack, and our portable GPS and headed out for the store (It turns out we didnt really need the portable GPS-we followed the shopping carts downhill).
When we hiked back to our car we saw a beautiful C6 parked so close to us, I had to back the car out before Marina could get in, and she is really tiny!
We live in a small town; we never saw this Vette again. Must have been a tourist who decided to be snuggle up to us. I cannot figure out how he/she was able to exit the Vette, it was so close to us.
