I find it difficult to believe that the entire sales and new vehicle delivery experience is only meant to measure the salesman. My sales guy was GREAT but the PDI staff let him down with their sloppy work.

I did spend the last couple days detailing my car after a long road trip and it's unlikely I would have spent any less time if the car had been perfect at delivery.

My wife took her Honda Pilot to the Honda dealership for the Takata airbag recall, and they tried to upsell her on $2500 worth of bogus repairs, including the water pump which had been replaced 4 months before while undergoing a timing belt change.

I trust dealership service departments... not.
