I posted this in the other thread, but thought I might here too. I will be ordering this today. Just wondering if the switch remembers the state it's in when you turn the car off? No big deal, just interested.

[Edit: Just ordered! Looks like fun! (and the code still doesn't work)]

On 2014 models w/NPP is it fuse 42 or 41 that is replaced?

On '14 model ONLY it is fuse 41. Hopefully, there's room for the fuse tap to fit there as well.

Most likely not. It will default to loud - valves open.

Exhaust Valve 2 is what you want.

it does not effect the air fuel management valves, it only effects the NPP valves that are by the tips/ Mufflers. Thanks, Don

Don,

I have a question on how Homelink works, which I do have on my '14. Do you program it to one button, which you press once for "on" and then again for "off." Or, do you have to program 2 of the Homelink buttons, one for "on" and one for "off."

You need 2 of the 3 buttons available. Program #1 to open and #2 to close the valves. Leaves #3 for your garage door.

OK thanks much for the definitive answer. I read your excellent writeup of the circuit board and DIY system you built for the same purpose, which was very well done. It was from your write-up that I thought to ask the question.

So . . . Homelink noworkyforme. I have buttons 1 and 3 programmed for two different garage doors that I access routinely. That's OK, I'll just velcro a fob somewhere hidden.

Or you could velcro a garage door fob and free up a Homelink slot.

Years ago, I opened up a garage door opener and soldered a wire with a remote switch. Buried the opener in the dash and hid the switch.

No, RPI still sells the M2W for the C6, but it's a different device.

Does this allow for you to select open, closed, and factory operation, or is just open and factory operation?

Turning it "on" is always open, just like pulling the fuse. Turning it "off" restores it to factory programming with the std. mode control settings, which means you have to use factory modes to keep it always closed.
