Default Spice Red Interior Question

For those of you with this interior package, what color is the stitching on the shift boot and steering wheel? Is the stitching (spice) red or gray?

I've checked a few interiors through Google but really couldn't see up close and the Chevrolet configurator computer generated images don't really show the stitching.

Thanks!

Here's a big blow-up of a photo I took at this year's museum bash. The stitching on the wheel and shifter boot looks black to me.

I don't have any answers, but this is, hands down, the BEST red interior. EVER, in the history of Corvettes.

EVER!

I'd like to take another position on EVER:

I disliked the Adrenaline Red because I still think it's way too bright, but when I heard about Spice Red I was excited that may be the red I want until I saw it in person. All I can say, and I like most red interiors, Spice Red is the most "boring" red I've ever seen.

The stitching is the same color on everything, I guess you could call it spice red in color.

Interesting. I'm not sure why they'd switch it for 2017 but it appears that they did.

MSG C5 Thanks for the post I' m planning on ordering AW with Spice Red in spring. Searching for 16 I have only found One Spice Red and it was a convertible and I want a coupe. I like the Adrenaline Red but not as much as the Spice Red. I think I wouldn't like the brightness of the Adrenaline Red over time. Too bad you have to order 3lt to get that interior. I also like that it is not as common. There was chart post on rarity a couple days ago showing rarity of Blue & Spice Red interiors . If I find post I will add , but my notes are stingray AW coupe 15 conv 29 , z06 coupe 14 conv 19 for production year 16. Thanks to 16/c7z for originally posting chart.

Long Beach Red and Spice Red together...
drop dead gorgeous.

Subtle difference in shade and hue sophisticated, upmarket look.

^^^^^^^^^^^^ my pic (chart emailed by the museum people who are fantastic to speak with) thanks for the acknowledgement

on the twilight blue design that my friend and i picked up (2 of only 43 Z06 coupes with it) the stitching is blue. just took some pics uploading now. so i would assume spice red to be same (red v blue)?

The stitching is blue all over, doors dash pretty cool and I'm sure the spice red is same way

For anyone putting the down the spice red (or the blue in my case) to each their own I think all three packages are fantastic. Glad I have mine and I had a choice of anyone I wanted. Do it over? I would do Twilight blue design or red spice again no doubt

16/c7z I was looking at the pictures of your blue interior and my wife really like that color . There is a dealer by us with a 16 Z06 AW with the blue interior , convertible . We might check out just to see interior. I was thinking GS but this Z06 is also bonus tagged. Maybe wife get blue interior I get Z06 win win situation!!

Thanks. The only pictures I originally saw were from the 2015 bash with the Long Beach Red/Spice Red Z07 was on display. At that time, it looked as though the stitching was the stock gray that came with the Jet Black interiors.

So is the consensus that GM switched to a Spice Reddish stitching later in the production run as 2017 is only the second year Spice Red has been in production correct?

I'm considering the option for a 2017 Z06 for three reasons (1) I like the full spice red color on the dash and doors, (2) the special Torque Thrust Blade wheels, and (3) the darker red brake calipers which I think match up better to the LBR exterior.

However, after posting this thread, I came across this video that reviewed the 2016 LBR Z06 with the Spice Red package and in the video, the stitching is either gray or a very light Spice Reddish red. Did GM change this mid production run?

Thanks!

I have the spice red interior with the long beach red metallic tint and the stitching on the automatic shifter is spice red as is the steering wheel stitching.
