C7 heated seats not working after recall
Any one have a problem with your heated seats not working after having the air bag download recall done.
Had the dealer do the download on my 2016 Z06, For the frontal crash air bag last week.
Don't know if its a coincidence that the seat heat not working.
Today went for a drive and the seats barely got warm. Worked fine when I purchased it last month.
Any thoughts, Or recalls on Heated Seats.
I will call the dealer on Monday.

Don't think you have an issue other than having to live with the crappy "heat". Do a search seems to be a thing since the 14's.

I'll have to research it.

Not a recall (those are only for safety issues), this was a TSB for the heated/cooled seats to go on with the remote start.
Mine work great even after the airbag recall, though it did mess with the seat & dash settings.

I have the same issue with my ventilated seats.
After the dealer did the fix for the airbag TSB my ventilated seats do not work at all...
The dash light comes on, but no ventilation....
They worked great before the TSB fix.
In fact, my wife and I usually had to turn them down to level 2 or level 1 here in south Texas heat. They worked that well...
Dealer has been notified...their guy that handles such things is researching with Chevy to see what to do.
Chevrolet Customer Care CAN YOU PLEASE HELP? Sure would like to have my ventilated seats back!!!!
(All my seat and locking settings were changed when I got the car back...haven't reset those until I get it in for the seats again)

Someone here recently published the procedure for the airbag recall. It was highly detailed and included a number of things that needed to be done both in sequence and certain way. It wouldn't be very difficult for a tech to do something out of sequence or use a wrong input, that may well have caused settings to be erased or altered a system setting.
That's the only logical reason that would explain why many of us had no settings changed or systems rendered inop, while others did. It should be an easy fix to have the module controlling the airbag reflashed again, hopefully correctly the 2nd time.
I had the airbag recall done last Friday, and the car came back to exactly as it went in.

I had the oil changed and the airbag recall done on Saturday. No change in my heated seats as they didn't work worth a damn when I drove it there or on the way home...It was 40 degrees outside and I wanted to try them again-still very poor compared to the C6. No settings appeared to have changed after the recall fix.

Taking mind in for oil/change and recall next week. Getting cold here in the Burgh! I agree with others that the heat never really worked well to begin with. My wife's Grand Cherokee seats work great!

The heated seats in our 2014 Stingray were worthless, a grasshopper rubbing its legs together would generate more heat. The new Z heated seats are a quantum leap better, but still lag behind our other vehicles in that category. We tried to program them to come on when you remote start the car, but nope, they just won't do it.

While I seldom use the heated seat feature, I noticed that it doesn't get as warm as my other vehicles. I had the airbag TSB done a few weeks ago and with no issues.

I thought the heated seats on my '17 GS were defective as they don't seem to get warm AT ALL.
Wtf? I have a bad spine and all my other cars I rely on the heat for the therapeutic effect.
Is there something that can be done about this? I recall reading about how high tech the seats are in the C7. Something is amiss. Someone dropped the ball.
This is a major issue for me.

Just a question that may or may not have relevance to this issue, my Stingray was a 3LT and the Z is a 3 LZ. I wonder if this had any bearing on the issue and the C7 seats are ventilated as well, could this also be a possible factor? All my other vehicles will toast buns in quick time.

I just had the airbag recall done last week, since I live in Florida I have never used the heated seat but the ventilated worked just fine, I should just check them out. I always worry about TSB doing something strange to something unrelated. 14 2LT

If you have a sudden change like that it may be worth checking the fuses. My ventilated seats stopped working and I found a blown fuse in the rear electrical center.

Does anyone have heated seats that work really well? Sounds like most (including myself) say it takes them a long time to heat up to a luke warm temp.
I'm not complaining but I'm curious whether I should have the dealer look at mine. Thx

Bobs Z06 just furnished me these links from the General forum. The problem is related to the ventilation padding in the seat. It appears we will just have to live with lukewarm keesters! There are images of a torn down seat in the last 2 links.

^^ Thanks for posting those links. At the end of the day i'd rather have the seats ventilate better than they heat.
