Standard exhaust (Non-NPP) Who has it?
Just curious how many of you have the Standard (Non NPP) exhaust on your Base Stingrays? Are you happy with it or have you gone to an aftermarket exhaust? I just bought a '16 Convertible at a great price, but it was lacking the NPP option. The car is just too quiet without NPP. What are your opinions?

Only thing that sucked was when it went in to 4 cylinder mode, it sounded like a Honda.
In fact the guy who bought my 2014 has the Flowmaster for sale on Philly CL, his wife complained.
On my 2016 I have the NPP exhaust, no it will never sound as good as a Mustang, but it is 100x better than non-NPP.

The standard exhaust is way too quiet. I would definitely go for an aftermarket system. Check out the sounds on you tube to assist with your decision.

I agree that the stock exhaust sounds wimpy and the tips look really cheap. I got the Corsa Sport and it sounds great, but I wish the tips were smaller. The 4 1/2" tips look a bit too big for the opening. A cheaper alternative, if you don't want to spend much money, is to go with an X-pipe instead. The reason I didn't go that route was because it eliminates the secondary cats... they must be there for a reason so I didn't want to run into hassles later on when I get the car smog checked.

I bought the NPP mainly for the looks of the big flared "trumpets"-compare the 2 look wise and there is a big difference IMHO.

If you go with new mufflers some offer 3" with 3" AFM valves, the OEM pipes are 2.75" and are squeezed down at the valves to 2.5" or less.

I have the base standard exhaust. It sounds good enough for me and I have almost $1,200 in my pocket to apply on the next Corvette. I don't like the look of the big exhaust horns of the NPP system. I like the look of the smaller pipes spaced two on each side. I didn't order the NPP exhaust on my 2017 order either.

I had the non-NPP on my old '14 and didnt hate it, it was pretty quiet but had a decent tone. I made sure the next one had NPP though, but to be honest I have it quiet 99% of the time anyhow.
I was going to experiment with aftermarket exhausts some on the '14 but swapping exhausts on the C7 is a bit of a PITA compared to my C5s and C6s that I played the 'exhaust system of the month club' on until I found what I liked.
