You can move across the street and your insurance can go up 40% (happened to me in Chicago years ago). I agree that its kind of pointless with all the variables but 1400 a year doesn seem too bad.

State Farm with 0/100 deductible, 250/500K liability, under 7200 miles would be 1150 a year for a 3LT Z06 coupe, its 900 a year for my '16 2LT coupe. Thats with multi car, multi line and just about every other discount they have, 52 years old with no tickets/accidents is 25+ years. FWIW the C7 went up 100.00 a year this year because State Farm did a rate adjustment recently. The 70K msrp C7 was actually cheaper to insure than my pickup truck or Jeep until a few months ago..

Only way to see if you are overpaying for your coverage/location is call around and ask. I call around every year and no one has beat what I have - bet some have been getting close the last couple years.

Only you know those variables. If you're 21 instead of 61, it's obvious. If you have a poor driving record, it's obvious.

But if you are middle-aged with a perfect record and still paying $2100 a year, something is dreadfully wrong. At that point it's up to you to do some investigation and discover what the issues are. A thread like this can give you an idea of the ranges you can expect. Like anything else you can beat yourself to death with variables that MIGHT be different, or you can use these figures as a ballpark estimate and see how far away from the norm you are. Just because your obsession with detail prevents you from deriving any useful information from this thread does not mean the rest of us cannot.

Does seem like where a person lives can have a major impact on prices - whether it's because of theft rates or accident rates, I don't know. But it does seem the prices can swing a bit based on location.

$750 per year on mine, a '15 Callaway Z06, high limits, 1k deductible, 6 cars and a home packaged together through Farmers Insurance. No tickets (although I probably have deserved several ), no accidents, age 49.

I do kinda live in the middle of nowhere, though.

Is your car a DD? Some insurers will cut you a break if you cap the annual miles. I've never done that. Figured as sure as I cap my miles, I'd go over it.

Of course, that might not work well if you DD it.

American Family. I have my home insurance with them plus one other vehicle and while my car is not a C7 Z06, it's an '08 and not a Z06 ( it does have the Z51 ) 487.00 per year.

Man you guys are blowing my mind with how low your insurance costs are. I'll be contacting Geico tomorrow to see what the deal is. I did get arrested for Reckless driving when I was 16 but that was 13 years ago and should be off my record...

Just as a reminder - 2016 1LT Z51 - $2100 per year. 100/300 coverage. $500 deductible. 29 years old. Never any speeding tickets. 1 wreck 3 years ago (my fault - damage only to my car). Jacksonville FL.

Too many factors to compare, if you live in the sticks it's cheaper, if you live in a large urban area it's more expensive

I pay $1500 per year with Liberty Mutual
No summonses or accidents 500/500 glass 500 ded

So Wtf did you just prove? That there is variability between the states. So? Maybe that's something you should know about. There's variability between counties in states, too. You would need a mile-wide spreadsheet just to start. But to claim you can't derive any useful information from a general thread is what is complete nonsense. If I were paying that $2738 a year, came across a thread like this, and discovered most people were paying less than $1K, I'd be on the phone in a heartbeat wondering why and getting more quotes. You're saying there is so much variability that it's useless to try. Go ahead. Remain ignorant. Pay more, blindly, without even knowing why. It MAY be it's because you're getting ripped off. But if it's too difficult for you to figure out, no one else cares.
