So basically unlike in track mode this allows the flaps to stay open regardless of rpm? Do they stay open so that when you restart the car you don't have to use the remote again? Can you post the installation instructions? Thanks!

Yes, with this device, the valves stay open all the time. You have to press the "on" fob button to make them close. Every time you restart the car, it will be in loud mode.

I took the M2W switch off my 08 when I traded it....is this the SAME unit and can I use it on my 2016??

You should also be able to program this to your homelink visor, if equipped. I run mine wide open pretty much all the time, unless I'm leaving for work before 8 a.m. or coming home after 10 p.m.

You'll have to clean your outer exhaust "trumpets" more often though, while the inners stay pretty much spotless.

No, I believe the C6 system was vacuum actuated, and NPP is electronic.

I don't know for sure, but I'd guess the major difference is the C7 version is wirelessly switchable, either with the supplied fobs or by programming to Homelink, because the fuse controlling NPP is in the engine bay fusebox. Since the C6 fuse was located under the passenger-side dash fusebox, it was a simple wired switch.

I suppose one could modify the C6 kit and run a wire through the firewall if they already have one. OTOH, why go to all that trouble to save $70?

So help me understand...... right now, I have the car set to TRACK mode for the exhaust all the time. Aren't the valves open all the time with that?

Will the M2W switch do ANYTHING different, other than make it switchable to quiet at the push of the button, or will it make it louder more of the time?

I've had M2W on several C6's and loved it, but haven't ordered one for the C7 thinking I've already got it set to the loudest setting by choosing "Track" for the exhaust. Can anyone clarify for me, please ???

No, even set on Track mode, the valves are not open all the time for noise regulation reasons.

The only way to keep the NPP valves open all the time is to remove the fuse, which is what a lot of folks have done. Problem with that is, you may want to keep the option of quieting the car down without pulling over, and reinstalling the fuse.

The M2W does the same thing as pulling the fuse manually and putting it back in.

Thanks That's what I was needing to understand. For what ever reason, I thought putting the exhaust setting to TRACK would keep the valves open 100% of the time. Guess NOT.......

Sounds like another M2W for me

We always liked having the ones in our past C6's as sometimes on the highway, it's nice to quiet it down for a long highway ride. Also, coming into the neighborhood at 1 am it's handy to be a "good" neighbor.

That is the way it appears. The M2W still performs the same. The fuse is just in a different fuse box. However, there are other posts that show it is more complicated on the C7, and a circuit board is included in the relay box.

I saw one version that was installed in the rear of the car and had a sensor to pick up the computer signal from the BCM, but this not appear to need the extra sensor when installed on the fuse in the engine compartment.

Not so easy! Folks have tried since I got my September 2013 built C7 with NPP. Some who have many electrical mods. There is a feedback circuit that controls the electric motors and trips a code if the computer doesn't get a signal back. Also the power for the remote relay used must be supplied using specific terminals.

You can search the issue in 2013, 2014 and part of 2015. Finally some folks figured it out and also how to get a consistent signal. You can search that as well, many pics and details.

For the simple vacuum activated C6 system just did as you said, put in a $5 toggle switch I placed in the cup holder with an integrated round case. No feedback circuit. Even that is not easy in the C7. I had a $15 remote relay I purchased for another project, but decided the manual switch was easier for the C6.

For my GS on order, would purchase the Mild-To-Wild as they have solved all issues and provided a remote relay that works and a prewired system.

To each there own.
