The Ultimats Jet Black is a factory matching color. We list it as Black
because most owners just see it as black and get confused when
it is listed as jet black.
Luxe is only offered in several colors. The Black in Luxe is a true Black.
It is actually a shade darker than Jet Black. (Ebony is a color offered in
Luxe, mostly because every GM car had it for about a decade)
Ebony has green in it. Ebony really looks like a different color when
you put it up against Black
The strange thing is if I held them up individually and asked you what
color they were, you would say black - but put them one on top of the
other and you can very clearly see the difference.

It happened at the very beginning of the C6 run and was fixed in
early 2006. It has not been an issue since.
If you want the closest match for your C7 then your option is
the Ultimats in Black (Jet Black)
Luxe Black is not Jet Black, it is a shade or two darker - like in your

If its anything like C6 - waiting on GM I suspect...

I want to get Lloyds mats but it appears I have a dilemma. I want the most plush mat, unfortunately Luxury in black is not a true match from what I have been reading as it is several shades darker. On the other hand Ultimate which is less plush is an exact match. Does it boil down to most plush not a match vs. less plush and a match? What to do??
