Default Need you help/opinion/advice

Hi everyone,

I am a member from camaro5. Very excited to join this new group .

Currently, I am looking at this C7 located in Bradenton FL.

https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/l-Used...ting=157188429

Any tips on what to look for when buying this car/used car? Check with Carfax and it shows clean record, and 3 oil changes. Dealer provided Autocheck and it shows no accident either.

How much lower do you guys think I can ask for the car?

Also and lastly my last favor is, anyone located close to the area, is willing to take a look at the car for me, please? As I am located in Miami and is like a 3 hours+ drive.

Thank you so much for all your help!

I think that's close to the bottom of market value.

Thanks for replying. So what you mean is that is a very great price?

I think it's a decent price for a '16 base car, and it's advertised as a 2LT, which is a nice interior upgrade. You could always offer 2K less, and see what they say. I'd also ask if it is a Certified Pre-Owned car, which will come with extra warranty.

I'd find me a brand new 2016 2LT around 55.5 after 20% off.

No miles & full warranty.

Good luck finding a left-over, new '16 manual 2LT at any price.

Hi Arturo,

I actually drove that car at *** Chevrolet about three weeks ago. If it had been an automatic, I would have bought it for the $49,900.00 they were asking at the time.

I think it's a gorgeous car and an excellent buy at $47,000.00! The car has low miles and was in excellent condition when I drove it.

I finally wound up paying slightly less for a 2014 3LT automatic convertible from Stingray Chevrolet in Plant City. If you want a 7-speed coupe, I doubt you'll find a cleaner car than that one.

It seems like a clean deal. I would definitely offer a couple of thousand less being that they are 200 miles away and you will find something down here, believe me. They are everywhere. You will love the M7, I can tell you that.

So, this Friday I went to check the car, and damn what a disappointment... I don't know how you consider this car in EXCELLENT CONDITION...

Anyway, back to the car searching game. Such a PITA to find a 16+ 2LT Black with Red interior and manual transmission...

Hi Arturo,

Sorry for my quick analysis. I only drove it. I didn't lift the hood nor the rear lid nor did I see anything amiss with the exterior or the interior. At the salesman's urging, I drove it for about ten miles. The interior was spotless, everything worked as advertised and it drove great. I didn't want an M7 so I left thinking the rest of the car matched its performance. Sorry you were disappointed.

LOL, no worry I understand. =) It's all good. Anyway, still, thanks a lot for your help and inputs. It did drive good though, and the interior was pretty nice! Unfortunately, definitely not something I feel comfortable after seeing these. I am sure you would have spot these problems too if it was a 8-speed automatic.

THIS is a great example of how "perfect" to one buyer can be "rough" to someone else. I have a 2014 Z51 - 3100 miles. It's stored about 5 months of the year due to weather. It's one of my toys and definitely would be considered a "garage queen". It's also perfect - not a chip, not a scratch, not a blemish in the exterior or interior. Undercarriage is perfectly clean - it's never been driven in the rain. Flame me all you want for "not driving it". Again - it's a toy and I choose when to drive it and when to look at it. At the end of the day it's gorgeous and I still love it.

That's the way I see it, too. We all have a standard of what's good, and it doesn't always match up with other's definition.

That said, besides the two checks the OP did, I would also include the one that's free: the VIS GM check by vin of what's been done with the car re warranty work, TSBs if any, etc. Can have some important info on the particular car, and it's free at any GM dealer service dept. or on here from places like Cultrag, etc.

Have no freaking idea. I asked them about it, and the salesman gave me a crap explanation that doesn't make sense at all. Water going in through this hood vents, cover whatever to protect engine all kind of BS. Anyway, I walked away off the deal.

When I was about to leave, they were still trying to sell me the car saying, If you dont buy it, we have other buyers who already saw the car and are ready to buy it (I threw a deposit on the car). Looks like it was all lie to convince me to buy it because since last Friday, is still not sold yet LMFAO.
