Default So what (minor) mods have you done to your C7 since buying it new?

So I was looking at some pics of my new Corvette that I took the day of delivery about 3 months ago and was noticing all the things that have changed from that day until now. Got to wondering how many of you have made some changes/additions/subtractions to your new Vette since you've had it.

I also wonder what the heck is it about these cars that makes people want to always modify things??

Here's my list of really minor mods:

Installed a set of Ultimat Lloyd's mats with the C7 logo
Removed the Stingray emblems from the fenders
Removed the Corvette lettering from the rear...but decided to put them back on (ordered a new set)
Covered the bright chrome grill strip with c/f tape
Installed a c/f rear license plate frame
Placed black suede patches over those white and yellow warning stickers on the visors
Updated the software for the infotainment system which now includes Android Auto
Bought a set of Reverse-Logic lifting pucks
Installed an Exotic-Vettes rear-partition divider and centered a C7 emblem on it
Swapped out the painted silver wheels for a set of OEM GM chrome wheels
Put on valve stem caps with the C7 logo on them

Up next is installing the GM splash guards I ordered a couple of days ago
When I have a free day, I'm also going to get the windows tinted.

I'll prolly never do any engine mods or other major stuff...I'm pretty satisfied with the performance as it is right now.

So what all have you done? Has anybody totally left their new Corvette alone and not changed anything?

I've done the following in the past year

ARH headers and Borla X pipe
AFE CAI
HP tune for the headers
WeaponX ported throttle body
Carbon flash side skirts and splitter
Window tint
Xpel the whole front end and roof
Stop tech pads
Lloyd mats all the way around
Block it sound deadening mats
Lowered on stock bolts

I think that's it. Only thing I might do is new wheels in the spring and maybe a ported intake.

I was considering this as well. Wondering why you decided to put it back on??

Just swapped to all carbon flash badging myself. Not sure why my triple black z51 had chrome badging, but the carbon flash just looks like it belongs. Can you please tell us if you had to remove the grill to swap the chrome strips for carbon flash? (I'm not interested in plastidip or vinyl). Part numbers for the carbon flash strips? Thank you.

I have been busily supporting our vendors . . . small mods are pretty fun. In no special order, I have:
1. Custom Lloyd's floor mats
2. Added Stingray logo center console cover.
3. Added Range AFM disabler
4. Added Vitesse throttle control (but later removed--did not like it on my A8)
5. Painted splash guards
6. Covered my air bag warnings with stickers
7. Suntek protective film (not so small a mod)
8. Hardwired V1 Radar Detector
9. Red paddle shifters (like this one since I have a two-tone red interior!)
10. Mild-to-Wild exhaust remote control

The carbon flash grill black out is simply two decals that go over the existing chrome grill piece. No need to remove the grill to install. I purchased it from Vette FX. It is a pretty easy install and looks good.

Pretty short list for me too.
GM splash guards
Carbon Flash badging
XPEL on full hood, full fenders, headlights, facia, door sills, door handle pockets and mirrors
25 hours of labor to ceramic coat the entire car including wheels and calipers.
Oh and lots of grinning ear to ear (that mod is free, all you have to do is look at it)

I am very well pleased with the way the mods turned out, and believe the C7 is exactly the way I want it. I don't envision any other additions. Cost was very reasonable considering a 12.3% discount off MSRP originally. MSRP $64,101.

I have about $57,600 into this Base Stingray model 1LT C7. Purchased new with 5 miles on the odometer.

Put on GM 2016 chrome wheels that I got from a forum member. These are much better looking than the 14 wheels.

That is a good looking car. I always assumed it was a z06. Shows that not going overboard keeps things tasteful and pleasing to the eye
