HEARD HERE 1ST; Sterling Blue Being Cancelled

If anything, I see you struggle with the concept of "IMO".
Even so, maybe if I was responsible for making those decisions, perhaps GM wouldn't be canceling a color less than 10 months into a production run based on low sales and the fact that it's barely distinguishable to another color that was already available. Laguna Blue was the fifth best selling color behind White, Black, Red, and Gray in 2016 and the combined sales of Blade Silver and Sterling Blue haven't come close to matching the Laguna Blue sales. I think there was more room in the market for both Laguna Blue and Admiral Blue than there is for Blade Silver and Sterling Blue based on the units sold.

If you really must have one, Kerbeck has 15 in their inventory as of this posting.

Nooooooooooooooo! Count me as the odd ball one but I Love that color. In fact, I currently own 3 cars that are almost identified to that color. I have a red C7, but only because the 2016 did not come in that color.

As someone who might be in the market next year, I really hope GM starts making more vibrant colors. The C7 has great lines and contrasting black accents that get hidden in the dark shades. I think this is why white has become unusually popular.
I thought that Laguna Blue was C7s best color, but now that it's gone the only bright saturated color left is torch red. That seems really strange for a sports car.
I would suggest taking a chance with one new vibrant color per year. They should try making a bright orange without tinting it rust or gold. Bring back the old more saturated yellow. Maybe even try a purple or green that's visible without direct sunlight!

I actually like the Racing Yellow better and the Velocity reminded me of a highlighter that is on my desk in front of right now. Regardless, I doubt anyone with VY would say they liked CRY better and vice-versa.
My local dealer has a Sterling Blue parked out front and my wife liked it but I was indifferent to it; however, if I were considering a Silver car I might be swayed.

When you look at it - it should look like glass or a reflective pool - you shouldn't see any surface blemishes at all -
It is possible to polish out the clear coat to a certain extent - just don't get too aggressive on a brand new car - wait a couple of years - by that time you'll have a few scratches that you want buffed out anyway...
Hopefully Bowling Greens' new paint shop will be worth the investment -
