Are you wanting to see front or rear?
In the front, the best frame is no frame, just a rubber border to cover the edge.
In the rear, just a thin frame that the plate fits into and does not cover any of the plate.

Where did you get that rear frame? I like the thin frame look.

I looked for just a simple black one that sorta matched the carbon flash diffuser area and got this nice plain plastic one.
After a day at the track i guess I need a new one! Another track hound had the "Corvette" and crossed-flags all melted and drooping.

All license plate frames make the plate really stand out on the C7, so I don't have any. First time that I ever went without. The narrow black edge trim is the best, not crazy about it either.

It's called a perimeter frame. I like it because you do not see the loops for the screws, and in Texas they do not want any part of the plate obscured.

Had to cut out the lower right and left corners of the plate frame because of where Oregon requires two stickers to be placed. Can't find any frames with cutouts in that area. Will be moving to AZ next spring anyway. Don't need a front plate in AZ either.

Depends where you live. In SC the law says no part of any number or letter can be covered! That includes the state name etc.
Changed mine to this perimeter metal frame (from AutoZone) when there was an article showing they were giving $125 tickets in Myrtle Beach if the frame did not meet the legal definition. If you travel in SC great reason for them to stop you and make $125! Great way to get money from out-of-state cars! Also can not have even a perfectly clear plastic cover over the plate. Was told that and given a warning when driving the wife's SUV!
Others have published their state is the same
