Passenger seat stuck full forward
My 2015 Stingray passenger seat is stuck full forward with seat back tilted and nested against sunvisor. Seatbelt is free and pulling manual seat back lever is no help. Switches will not do anything. I did a search and read connector has to be disconnected to reset sensor. There was a picture but it didn't say if it was under carpet underneath seat or going up back wall behind seat. Anyone have a better description or picture to guide me through this?? Thanks.

I had a similar experience last week and that worked for me. The switches started working once I did that.

If the seat back is tilted forward the switches won't work. I'm a little confused by your description. Can you put the seat back and locked into place?

The seat is full forward, seat back is tilted forward electrically and nesting against sun visor, so lifting manual release does nothing because seat is locked and can't go any further forward. Switches do nothing!!

If the manual release is lifted, the switches won't work. Is there anything under the seat, a water bottle or something that's wedged in there? There's a limiter switch under the carpet on the back wall, but that just limits the seat from traveling too far back. I suppose you could lift the carpet and unplug it.
I wish I could think of more things to try.

As Rooster said, it sounds like the manual seat back latch is not fully latched. Can you lift the lever and try to pull the seat back fully into the latched position?

[Mine did this once time when i was looking for an earring. I ran the seat forward and it stuck. I ended up pullng the seat bottom back with my hand while I ran the switch, and it came unstuck.

When doing problem search, someone had posted a picture from 2014 for a connector to unlock and reset sensor but I couldn't tell which carpet he had lifted or where it was located. He has not answered my PM. Thread was a couple years old. Makes me think there is a limit switch that needs to be reset somehow.

It's under warranty. Get it fixed.

A friend had this happen to his 16. The problem was the rear travel switch was stuck. The seat could go forward but it would not go back. It was fixed by just pulling the carpet away from the bulkhead. This released the switch and it has worked fine since.

I just tried it again and also wiggled wiring. Finally got seat to move back but not as far was it would normally be. The switch that controls the seat back only went back to 90 degrees and now nothing. It's much better than it was, so when weather permits, I'll take it to a dealer. Something is going bonkers with the switch assy on side of seat being it's intermittent. Thanks to all of you good forum folks for helping out on this one. Hopefully I can do same for you sometime.

I am so grateful for this thread. I thought I had to bring the Vette to the dealer to fix the seat mechanism. Luckily just a tug on the carpet behind the seat and it was back to normal.

I just ran across this f'ing problem with an 18 GS I'm road testing. Why in the heck the fore-aft adjustment is locked out aft when the seat back is unlocked has me baffled.
We wanted to stick some camera gear behind the seat but we left the seat back unlocked and fooled around for 20-min trying to diagnose the problem. Then I looked here and, once again, the CF saved my ***.

C7 seat
My C7 is a 2014 and I returned from dinner and seat would only go forward. I read this review and went back out and looked. Yep, my seat belt was keeping the manual seat release raised a little. Moved the seat belt and I got all my power buttons back. Thanks corvette forum
