Playboy, car is looking good. Can you tell me about the Stage 2 winglets. Were these the factory parts installed on a Z51 spoiler? And how did you get them to sit flush with the sides of the fenders? Other guys have tried this but they stick out because the Z06/GS rear is wider. Would love to try this option otherwise I am plunking down $1,100 for the APR carbon fiber unit. Tks, dovervold

There is no need to buy an entire exhaust system just to have black tips.

Here is my NPP exhaust. A 3 hour job mainly had to wait between paint coats.
Never even took the exhaust off. Regards to painting, it's all about the prep. I have NEVER had any paint fade, dull or peel from exhaust tips. Exhaust tip temps on most cars typically go from 300F-500F at most.

Parts needed:
3M Scotch Pad $4
Black High Gloss High Temperature Spray Paint $6
Masking tape $4

Reset the tire pressure, polished the windshield with the 3" orbital buffer, applied Rain-X, polished the rest of the glass by hand, cleaned under the hood, used Dr. Color Chip on the LF fender, vacuumed the interior, wiped down the interior, cleaned a couple of dirty spots on the driver's side door panel, removed and cleaned the license plate and frame, painted a couple of screws for when I re-install, and took a nap (actually that was for me, not the car).

Tomorrow strip with Dawn, clay bar, and apply the Zaino.

I changed my oil today, and took it for a spin!

I think this was the first time in 9 years of owning one that I drove a Corvette in February.

What did I do to my C7 today? I drove it in the rain!

I got it all nice and clean Friday and took it for a nice drive to get it dirty again. It cleared up and got sunny later so my passenger could enjoy having the window open!

So I not only drove it in the rain, I let my dog ride shotgun... That's what I did for my C7 today.

Thanks and Yes they are the OEM factory Z06 stage 2 winglets mounted on my existing Z51 spoiler. As far as mounting them flush it all depends on what you want. If you plan on installing the stage 3 wicker bill, then your mount/install will cause it to stick out about an inch on each side. I have no intention to mount the stage 3 center piece as it causes way to much drag. So I lined it up flush with the rear quarters. I too did not want to shell out the $1100.00 that's why I went this route. If your interested I can post a detailed write up later tonight or tomorrow with some pics of my install. It was fairly simple and I didn't have to remove the the existing spoiler.

Beautiful dog in a beautiful car and i don't care if either one is dirty. We had Dobermans and were addicted to the breed. Sweet, loving companions. Although we did bathe ours before they got on the bed.
