ah, ok so I foam the car, then use a bucket and microfiber to hand wash the foam off. Then rinse with hose, and not the pressure washer.
I agree, foam and rinse, does not clean the car alone.

I plugged it and have a used tire on the way.
I have a new set of tires in the garage waiting to go on, but still have 5/32 on the set on the car. Wanted to use them at a track event next month and then some burnouts before putting the new tires on, but not going to track with plugs. So I found two rear tires with 5/32 on them to use for a month. Hopefully I can get a nice burnout video before I pull these off!

Used my annual "Ranger Method" to replace the clutch fluid.
Did as I had my C6 for 5 years, C7 Z51 for 3 years and now another for my 2 year old Grand Sport. Followed the usual:
Bought a 12 ounce container and used most of it. Just as well as recommended I only use a new never opned container!

- Empty reservoir,
- Refill with new DOT 4 from unopened container
- Pump clutch 30 times
- Repeat 7 times (that is what it took to get fluid looking like new fluid in container.)

Been using the Ranger Method for over 10 years and have never had an issue. Much easier that removing the driver's side exhaust pipe and CAT, then some sheet metal to gain access to the bleed screw! Justifiably expensive at a dealer!

Drove it from Portland, OR area to Mission Viejo, CA and back (over 2K miles). Left home Friday morning, spent Saturday there and left Sunday morning for home (I've had enough driving for a while).
(PS. No bent or cracked wheels but I did take a rock that cracked the windshield)
On the way down in (where else) Weed, CA with Mt. Shasta in the background
Returning home, also in Weed, CA and again with Mt Shasta in the background, shimmering in the sunset

Oh and what did I do to my car today? Swapped brake pads out and found this in my rear tire.

Seriously, I hope that it's an easy plug job and you're back on the road soon.

On the bright side, the damage is superficial so a light sand and respray should make the pain in my heart go away. Oh, and there's that thing about nobody being hurt.

My GS is pretty much condomized with Xpel Ultimate Pro and I'm thinking it might be worth checking into doing the windshield (if even possible)

In regards to the topic, I drove my C7 to work today...and by looking at it (and my exhaust tips), it's due for a cleaning. People may think it's clean, but trust me, it's not (you know how it is). So I'll probably clean and detail it up this weekend.

I had the top off the day before so I don't recall specifically confirming both front latches were all the way in. Even though I make a point to do it every time, my memory fails on that moment in time. Since it came off, it must have been at best not all the way in. My targa took flight the following morning on the way to work as I was accelerating down my street around 40 MPH so it didn't go far or do structural damage but it is scratched up around the 2 ridges on either side. It's just cosmetic with no physical damage other than the scratches so it's not as bad as it could have been.
So, even if you make a point to check this, it's likely there may come a time when you rush or are distracted and all it takes is once. I like the space the coupe has but a convertible would eliminate having to spend mental energy on this one thing.
