FWIW, was going to buy black lug nuts from McGard that hah had the right thread and taper but did not say four Corvette. Called McGard tech. He said the ones I was looking at were for “tuner” cars that is why they came 4 to a package. For the Corvette those Lug nuts might bottom. So the 100 foot pound torque would just be touching the top of the stud! Not Good! Check out the fit! He gave me the correct part number that fit.

I drove it.
6 months and counting, about 4500 miles so far. I simply cannot seem to drive it enough! Every time I get behind the wheel, it’s like a dream come true.
My only regrets are:
I shouldn’t have waited so long to buy it
I haven’t let anyone in my family drive it yet- that will change soon!

Thanks, I'll check the depth on them tomorrow. I had them on my car for 15,000 miles with no issues

Met up with another form member and picked up some Chrome Z 51 wheels with A decent set of Michelin's so I can swap back-and-forth between black and chrome

Default This week

Didn’t get it all done today but got it done this week. Lowered on stock bolts, installed Carbotech pads, painted my calipers and installed under hood kit from Pete. Awesome stuff by the way!

I decided to live dangerously today. I purposely drove my Vette in the rain....one of those Pacific Northwest all-day drenchers.

Rear end fluid change at 3,400 miles. Got the initial “break in” period crud out of it. Thanks to very detailed instructions by forum members Kracka and Theta. Old fluid was “metallic” looking and fill/drain plug magnets had plenty of sludge and metal particles. All set now for a few years.

Took it for a nice top down cruise with some spirited runs through the gears.
