Who says you can’t drive a Vette in snow and ice?

My grandson’s C7 just like his “Papa”

Here in Portland Oregon we are expecting 4 - 5 inches of snow today. Ugh, here comes the gravel!

I took my Little Blue Vette in for servicing today...oil, filter, check and top off all fluids and they fixed that rattle in the speaker enclosure area just behind the passenger seat headrest.

That was becoming very irritating and finally it’s gone.

And....I drove it in the snow! Temps in upper 20’s to low 30’s...glad I got those All-Season Michelin’s. Actually the roads were bare and dry but some light flurries did start falling on the way back home...

EXredracer: I have the same issue but it's the enclosure behind the driver. It like a lose bolt or a vibrating washer. What was it for you. Was it an easy fix for the dealer?

The tech said that it was the clips that he had to spread out. I didn’t question him like I should have, but the rattle is gone...at least for now. He got it fixed inside an hour.

Well the excessive humidity (and 60 degree temps) has caused everything in my 3rd car garage to "sweat" including my Corvette. So off came the cover today.

I'll detail it in a few days (if it stays above 40) and then I'll try to change the oil (once my ramp extenders arrive, the new splitter I installed makes getting up the old ones impossible). Have to move some lawn furniture to do that.

Might jack up the rear end as well and try to install the side skirts.

I can't drive the thing anywhere until they get the massive potholes here fixed. Broke a sway bar link (rear passenger) on the Focus ST today. So far that's my only winter damage.

Installed CF stingrays. I was surprised how badly the leading edge of the original chrome ones were beefed.

Wow, that should be worth at least 25hp. The aerodynamic savings you will feel!
Kidding aside they look really nice.

That, plus the Z51 sticker; probs more like 50-ish hp I'm guessing.

76 degrees and sunny in New Jersey today. Came home from work, lowered the top and took my first topless ride in my 18 Stingray. I bought it in Dec and it was cold ever since. Came back after a short spin . Vacuumed the carpets and install my new Kagu Black mats. (full protection). next I removed the stock silver painted wheels with the summer only tires and installed CHROME wheels with new Michelin A/S3+ tires. Also while wheels were off I installed the body color splash guards front and rear. The wife got home and I took her for her first topless ride in the Stingray. Will post pics another time as it was to dark for photos and we are expecting rain for the next four days

Default New transparent roof

Installed transparent roof then took a test drive in the hills... After some initial uncertainty, I fell in love with it after about 20 minutes.
