Looked at it, it is to cold to take her out and there is to much salt on the roads here in central Illinois.

Admired it sitting in the garage as I got in my old 72 coupe to run an errand. I love my C7 but have an emotional attachment to the "old Chevy".

It was above the freezing mark and the roads are perfectly clean thanks to a few days of rain so I took it out for a nice hour long drive on the highway, listening to Ozzy's Boneyard on XM radio We have no snow in our forecast for the next two weeks and some warmer than normal temps, so I think winter is losing the battle and there are going to be more good days than bad days now.

I had a very busy day planned for my 2019 Grand Sport today. I took my new Harbor Freight low profile jack and my ReverseLogic jack pads out of the box so I could install my Carbotech brake pads and ACS splash guards. Things went well until I pulled off the right rear tire and saw a fricken' nail in my tire that had just over 100 miles on it. Not being familiar with "run flat" tires, I threw the wheel in my other car and drove to my Chevy dealership to have it fixed. To my pleasant surprise the dealership said that a plugged tire won't have the same speed rating anymore so they recommend to replace the tire. I have wheel and tire hazard insurance so tomorrow I get a new tire. I still have to polish and wax the car, but that can wait for a few weeks.

I made the same silver-painted to chrome wheel swap shortly after I got my Vette...much nicer look, imho.

What kind of floor mats are those? Where did you get them?

Good you had the insurance to cover the price of a new tire and dealer was right that a patched tire won't have the same speed rating BUT how often do you drive 150+ mph. Lots of people driving with properly patched tires with no issue. Of course if I had paid for for tire insurance, I probably would have told them to put on a new one also. That is what the insurance is for. This is coming from a guy that just had a metal rod go through the sidewall of a tire on one of my other cars. New Continentals come with a limited Total Protection package and took care of a new tire.

Mats are “3D Maxpider Kagu floor liners/ mats. I bought them from either Amazon or AutoAnything. I can’t remember which one . I bought them for my wife’s SRX Caddie and my son bought them for his Infinity. I believe AutoAnything had them for the Vette

I took my wheel and punctured tire to the dealership so they could mount a brand new rear tire. I brought it back home and mounted back on car.

Ran escort duty for my wife's trip to the Mercedes dealer for recall work. Mercedes: The best or nothing..... I'm gonna go with the latter, based on our experience with the stripped out econo last gen c class. Remember when Mercedes was quality? But you had to get the flagship cruiser.

I also put on my Spice Red Console lid cover. Any one have the part number for the "driver side console trim panel" in Spice Red ? All I see online on the trunk monkey site are for black, adrenaline red, Kalahar, and Brownstone.

Hey prince8619, how difficult was it to remove the rear panel to do this work? Also, what tips of advice would you give to someone thinking of removing this rear panel to expose the exhaust area?

I got it all nice and clean Friday and took it for a nice drive to get it dirty again. It cleared up and got sunny later so my passenger could enjoy having the window open!

So I not only drove it in the rain, I let my dog ride shotgun... That's what I did for my C7 today.
If he's taking up that much space and needing to rest his head on the dash, he must be a BIG boy.

I did my first oil change on mine. I just bought it from a BMW dealer and they put in a new air filter (cheap aftermarket one made in China)
and damaged the seal installing it. I ordered the correct GM one and it was waaaay better quality. They also changed the oil and they used a WIX filter and not the correct AC/delco PF64. No idea what oil they used so I drained it and put the correct Mobil1 5/30 in and will change that to the new 0W/40 when it becomes available. I'm super OCD with my cars so had to get all OEM stuff in it. Also replaced the cabin filter too. Car only has 15K on it and I was surprised how dirty the CF was already. It is all ready to go now as soon as the weather clears up.
