Went for dinner with the wife. Looking for an end spot to park when I saw one open with ... a yellow Corvette parked in the next spot over! So I backed in just like him ...
Since I DD my car it gets pretty grungy in between hand washes, so I was most gratified to see that his car was significantly dirtier than mine! He must DD his too.
When we came out from dinner he was still there, so he may not know that his car had a sibling visit...

- They lied when they claimed the car was "track ready". A8 transmission overheats. They promised a fix for this, never delivered. Another lie.
- The A8 was horrendous on the street with all sorts of shifting problems. At low speeds and when cold, could never shift consistently well, including at times when it felt like some someone hit you. After 2 years of messing around with it, they finally replaced it. The new one is much better, but still far from good. The A8 is just a defective design.
- Audio issues from day one (all audio), took 2 months to troubleshoot, 2 months to get the part to fix it.
- Other failures: torque tube, torque converter, 3 shocks (magnetic), starter. Starter failure shorted out the car while I was driving and left me stranded.
- Then the biggie and final straw: Oil pump failed, took out main bearing of engine. New engine required. GM would not cover it under warranty and would not give any reason why. The car spent 5 weeks sitting at the dealer with GM "investigating" everything from the tune to the oil in order to come up with an excuse not to cover it. When they couldn't find one, they just decided not to anyway.
There's some more little things, but that should give you a picture. The technical problems are one thing, but the attitude of blatantly lying to and screwing over a customer is just not acceptable. Deal with this "new GM" at your own risk.

you don't know me so how can you say that?
so you are made at GM so you are mad at everyone - you must be a lonely person - with very few if any friends - you must run them off, at least here you can spill your negative thoughts without anyone leaving
I feel sorry for people like you, hope you recognize that you are so negative and change, so you will not die alone

Yes, 4 Corvettes and 35 years of being a GM customer, and never again. The whole nightmare with this car required 8 pages of write-up that I gave to the lawyers. A summary:

Although I have no doubt GM probably made it seem as bad as they could.

Installed license plate frame (a real biggie I know), and inflated tires to the proper 30 psi cold. Finally looks like some cruising weather in the next couple of days. Got all of 14 miles on my 2019 Z06, very frustrating, especially after spending most of the Winter (I thought) in Florida.

I drove mine to work today, and it's supposed to rain.

Well i didn't do it all today, but rather over the last couple of weeks. Got my ZO6 spats installed, New Verona XO wheels with new Firestone Indy 500 tires in 255/35/19 & 296/30/20 installed, and got my roof sides painted. Don't judge how dirty my car is!
