Default Exotic Vettes extreme insulation kit

Earlier this week I took my car to Micco,Fl and had Dan of Exotic Vettes install the extreme insulation kit in my 2017 coupe. I was hoping for a reduction in tire noise. In November I drove my car from Nova Scotia to Florida and found that on certain types of surfaces noise was unpleasant. 5 hours after I arrived at Dan's shop I was on my way home and was amazed at the reduction in tire noise. Also purchased the cargo partition at the same time and it is a great addition also. Highly recommend both of products, they make a great car better!

So is it something they make up, or is it a brand name product that can be bought elsewhere..... for those of us who aren't in FL ?

Disregard my request, I just found it, and Dan's website.

thanks,

Thanks for taking the time to post Pete! I'm glad to hear it! The kits are available at www.ExoticVette.com and come with instructions on how to do the install. I've been selling insulation kits here on the forum for the last decade plus and have thousands of customers who will attest to the results being worth the time and investment!

Here's a picture of another customer's car before carpet is reinstalled. Unfortunately I don't have any stripped down pics of Pete's car

BUT I DO HAVE A PICTURE OF HIS NEW LED TRUNK LIGHT PANELS I'LL HAVE AVAILABLE NEW WEEK! Plug-and-play and these things are bright!

Pictures can't do these justice but that whole square lights up solid bright on BOTH sides of the trunk cargo area

Completely encased COB LED panel has approximately 24 SMD LEDs inside the smoked tinted housings that plug right in and require no permanent modification to your car.

Had this in my 04 ZO6.....it was the best mod I did, and I did allot of them. Decreased noise and heat. My right outside calf no longer cooked while I drove, great product. It will be my first mod when I get my C7

Received my extreme kit last week and unpacked it to lay out flat for installation. Just weighed it at 15.6 pounds. The butyl Memphis mat is 12.1 pounds of that, but I think the extra weight of the extreme kit will be worth it.

The thread below may help, as I used the Extreme kit and did before/after sound measurements. When I mention 12 hours in the thread, that included some breaks and getting the measurements done.

We sold our '15 that we put this kit in, but I already have another extreme kit for our new GS - just haven't put it in yet but will probably do it in the next two weeks. It's actually kind of fun, and not that hard at all. Well worth it!

That's very helpful having those sound measurements, thanks! Few folks think to do that.

I did a DIY kit (rolls of material uncut) to insulate my C6, and aside from being a royal PITA, I had trouble getting some of the plastic trim back in place properly. It was an improvement.

For the C7 I did one of those drop-in blockit mats, with a bonus bit of material for behind the seats, which I did Saturday. Another PITA, but fortunately not too much area to do. I haven't had time to drive the car since... ... but I have high hopes for a heck of lot less effort.
