My wife's Corvette has not been uncovered or out of the garage since October 4th, Saturday a week ago the temperature here got up to a whopping neg 23*f, has not been higher than 4*f in over a week , Thursday morning was neg 22*f, more snow this winter already that all of the winter of 2015 / 16 combined. Neg. 7*f here this morning and snowing since 8 last night, that is to stop by Wednesday.
One of my sisters lives in Fort Myers, thinking maybe we need to head that way when retirement time gets here.
Got my 2017 GS mid NOV and put it away a week later at a indoor heated storage away from my home haven't seen it since !! I live in Toronto Canada and winter sucks up here !!
pic was taken day I picked her up ! yes nov 18 still top down weather
I feel your pain, but on the bright side there usually is a day or two in February that is nice enough for a ride and if all else fails, it's almost like you are driving a new car in March or April (depending on when the weather warms up enough).
For all of the anti-garaged Corvette remarks and the "I drive mine in blizzards" comments.
Mine too is in a slumber for the time being. I was so hoping to take her to NYC in a few days to meet a Marine buddy. He was going to let me use the airstrip possibly so I can burnish my brakes properly. Damn snow.
I am at Spring Mountain the 23rd and 24th and was hoping it would be the fix I needed to get thru until spring. But now that you say this it will probably make it worse...lol
At least you will be driving! I will just be watching my wife drive!
I feel your pain. I bought my new to me 14 Z51 convertible (my first Corvette) in November. Between hunting season and the weather I was only able to drive it 30 miles before hibernation set in. Who buys a convertible sports car in November in Pittsburgh?
Who buys a convertible sports car in November in Pittsburgh?
Smart people! That's the best time to buy, I bet you got a really good deal compared to what you would have paid a few months earlier (or in the spring)
^^^ I picked up my 2017 gs convertible 12/31 drove it 21 miles to my house and now it sits in the garage till spring along with my c4.Its going to be a long winter.

Haha, you are right. I stumbled upon a car set up exactly the way I would have ordered it, with most of the mods I would have done to it for a good price. The car originally stickered over 75K when new, was priced at 55K, and I got it for 49K because they didn't want it sitting on the lot all winter. I am sure a lot of people will say "you could have gotten a new 1LT for that price" but I couldn't come near the options that I got if I bought new, let alone the aftermarket mods. I am happy with the car and the price, just not the weather! I made the same mistake with a Harley a few years ago so I have a history of this type of poorly timed purchase.
Parked since mid-November because of snow and have been taking out my frustrations from that on the local coyote population 37 so far but now the snow is getting to deep to get around. Going to be a loooonnnng winter...
Sure, I miss driving my convertible, but for now she has warm glycol circulating under her via tubes in the concrete floor. But, I would hate to live without seasons. For me, the Vette is a playtoy and is my three season toy. It is always a treat to drive it. But for winter, my thrills are with skiing, snowmobiling, and travel in the mountains of Colorado. Would not trade the variety for anything. It is what makes things special in my opinion. Change is awesome. Not a popular opinion here I'm sure but I've never been a go with the flow kind of guy. Took awhile to find a wife as happy in ski pants as a bathing suit, but it was so worth the wait!! Three weeks to go for two weeks in Breckenridge!! For that I can't wait!

My wife and I can't take it anymore! Our house will be on the market Feb 1 and we are moving down to Lake Havasu City, AZ.
Its going to be a miserable 67 degrees and sunny in Lake Havasu today.
