It's worth whatever somebody is willing to pay for it! Color, options, condition, timing, location......all factors that will decide.

As I stated before, when was the last time Kelly or NADA ever wrote a check for a used car?

You beat me to it. I would ask $45 tops, settle in the $42K to 44K range. Reason it should sell for more than $40K, it's a 2015 with probably at least 1 year on the bumper to bumper and the second owner can extend the warranty.

It will NOT yield $45k. There are several cars that are 2016 that are in the $44-47K. That is what they are asking. a 2016 1LT with 5K miles privately sold for $43,500 on our c7 cars for sale section a month or so ago.

I would be happy if I can get $41-42K for it.

I think KBB now has a buy your car option. So they will write a check but it won't be trade in or private sale value, LOL.

^^^ True. In my limited experience with KBB "guaranteed buy" option (or whatever they call it), it has been at about 10% below the cash-buy price CarMax offered. My latest experience: KBB Offer: $27,500. CarMax: $30,000.

When you get offers over the web that are basically "sight unseen", you get low offers. The dealers aren't there to lose money.

Look for similar cars (at dealers) on cars.com in your area and subtract 10%

kbb buy it now offer is insulting ,,

expect around 34-36k if you do it that way ,

trading it in also is horible but you get a sales tax credit,

had mine up for sale 4 months back had it below kbb and nothing but low ball offers and tire kickers,

i ended up keeping it, taking a $12,000.00 loss in a year is tough to chew

I traded in a 2011 C6 Grand Sport with 54K on it. 3LT with a few other options like Nav, two tone seats, etc. Dealer gave me 29,000. I picked up a 2014 Z51 2LT, black wheels, carbon fiber dash, micfofiber inserts, Nav, and Carbon flash mirrors, vents, and spoilers, with 7100 miles on it for 46,300. Little higher on the Z51 than others I'd looked at but they gave me more for my trade than I expected. Not the deal of the century but not too bad.

Exactly the issue today with 170 days of inventory on hand at the dealers. New 2016's and 2017's are heavily discounted and now is the time to buy. Used C7's pricing is dropping like a rock due to over saturation. Building 38-40,000 C7 per year versus only 12-14,000 C6's. If you purchased a C7 for appreciation, forget it. Those days are gone for this model.
