For what it's worth, Hagerty lists the 2017 Grand Sport in their Hot List of 2017 Future Collectible Cars. And GM makes an additional call-out that the Collector's Edition would step that up a notch. Of course, purchasing one of these for future value, well...let's just say I wouldn't put it up on my investment list :-) But if you're looking for minimizing your depreciation compared to other cars in 2017, maybe there's some inkling of truth? Time will tell.

1:18 Scale Collector's Edition from AutoArt. Mint Models is selling them and they currently have 10% off (code MM10) which does apply to this special order.

Been meaning to post these shots. When I was at the museum I saw that there is a Collectors Edition on display in the Sky Dome. I checked with my contact at the museum and found out that it is car #230, on loan to them for the display. Not sure about the owners, but I did pick up some details and have updated the registry with the info I do have.

You can see it on the SkyDome webcam and I took a quick shot with my phone while I was there. Here's are the photos.

I know a tv show looking for a blue GS to install a SC for free!!! Wish you were in Texas so I could offer the opportunity in person.

You may have seen my 2016 yellow camaro on All Girls Garage actually my wifes I have TT 5th gen that aired originally in Oct.. and again about 2 weeks ago..

Friend of mine bought a white GS like the 1st week they were out last july or August.. He asked if I would put in a word with the producer to see if he could get a blower or borla exhaust and a tv show episode.. So I pitched it like this to Matt, the producer... purchase a GS and have Z06 performance well.. The producer called me and said he has another ADD spot for and Edelbrock Eforce, this is 2 days after my friend that's pretty high in GM took a raise up in Michigan and traded out for a suburban..

So I found a nice couple little bit older at coffee n cars last week in Houston TX and he's having doubt about spending 85k and losing the warranty on his sebring Silver.. I have a good relationship w the producer I don't want to screw it up having a guy back out. I'm the 1st one he calls for camaro stuff, wheels, tires, ect.. I'd be willing to offer it to you!

He's all ready been talking with the older gentleman with the silver GS the producer really wants a the bad azz blue one..

I just joined the site but am well known on camaro6 and camaro5 as edfhobbies this site looks familiar or same web design atleast not sure there tied together..

Collector edition would work as well.. would like a houston resident but not necessarily..

Auto Art is in the tank...they used to do incredible models.....guys this is suppose to be a Grand Sport model.....look at the Z06 wheels and the clear taillights! I used to buy a lot of Auto Art diecasts....but I refuse to buy them when they can't get the details correct....especially for diecasts costing over $100 a pop! My two cents worth!

I want to be optimistic that the photoshopped / rendered mock up isn't exactly how it will look when released. There are many issues with the details, especially for the price, but I bought one anyway because I won't see anything closer and most people won't notice :-)

It looks like #470 will be landing in a local collection. I'll update it more as it transpires.

Default Who wants to own THE BEAST - GSCE #666

#666 has been located, it is for sale at AutoNation Chevrolet in West Austin. Has an MSRP of $85,080.
  • Manual Transmission
  • Yellow calipers! First one I've seen with yellow, may be the only one!
  • Carbon Flash Ground Effects Package
  • Mirrors Carbon Flash Painted

Kind of wish they had actual photos posted of it, if anyone is in the area and can grab some photos I'd like to see what it looks like with yellow calipers and those mirrors.

An unusual and unique beast!

What is the highest number you have seen so far? I am new here to this page and actually I was doing the same thing as you, looking on EBay, or at different zips/ dealers just trying to track them. I have seen as high as 687 and that was in Indy.

Thanks, I have added yours to the registry! If you have more details in regards to how it was optioned, I'll add those items as well, take a peek at the registry spreadsheet referenced in the first post and if you scroll to the right you'll see what I'm referring to.

The registry is up to date as of this morning, added about 10 more. 690 is the highest number I've recorded so far.

I think the sill plates are just the Grand Sport plates, but I'll double check with my contact at the museum because this has come up before.

They make it sound like they are more special than that but I have never seen any pictures of something different.

Yeah, I'm still scratching my head on this

They call it the 'Collector Edition sill plate' on the build sheet but it's not mentioned on the Chevrolet accessory web site only it's for Grand Sports.

So this is the feedback I received from my contact at the museum who reached out to some knowledgeable people. I'm still checking with a couple others, but I think it is as we expected.

The standard GS sill plate just says Corvette. It is an LPO item to change it to the Grand Sport sill plates. These are the exact same sill plates as the BE8 set that comes with the Z25 option. Folks seem to agree that it was probably named in a way that was a little misleading. What you get with the Z25 Collector's Edition option are sill plates that say Grand Sport, which are not standard on a GS.
