Default 2017 Grand Sport Collector Edition Owners Registry

How many 2017 Grand Sport Collector Edition owners are there on this forum? Post your information to be added to the registry!

When posting information about yours, please include:
Your city/state, series number, body style, transmission and if it has the Z07 option or not. If you can post a picture of your car I'll add a link for that as well. If you're willing to provide the MSRP for your configuration or any other notes, those will be included too.

If there are other things you'd like to track on these vehicles, let me know, happy to add new columns to the sheet.

If you see one for sale (used ones are popping up), please post any info you can. The VIN on the windshield will identify the series number.

The dash plaque serial number can be seen in the video below at the 1:00 mark. NOTE: The car shown in the video from Geneva and in the auction photos is actually a prototype vehicle and not the first production VIN GSCE. The first production GSCE was a Convertible, please read this post for more details.
  9. Final car was #940, museum delivered on June 12, 2017.

GM PRODUCTION NUMBERS
GM published production numbers after the 2017 model year production wrapped up. These numbers are certainly subject to revision, but the registry information that we have so far seems to be in sync with these numbers. The registry is short 2 Z07 cars, that is being investigated, but all of the other numbers match up exactly, including geographic distribution. The registry spreadsheet (below) breaks down the numbers in a few more combinations if interested.

Instead of 1,000 total with 850 in the US market. The current total is 935 with 793 in the US.

REGISTRY

I started listing all of them here in this post, including ones that I've found for sale at various dealers as it may be helpful for someone that is looking to purchase one of these to find a sequence number they want or specific options. The list though makes this original post a little long and it will only get longer. So I decided to put it into a Google Sheet that anyone should be able to view and comment on. If you need one added, post on this thread or enter a comment, this way I can control the formatting. Please let me know if you have any issues accessing the Google Sheet.

I've set up filters on the sheet so it can be sorted/viewed in different ways. Look for the filter icon up in the top left and it will give you some choices of views.

Maps
There are a couple map views of the items on the list to give you an idea as to where these all are.

This is an interactive map using the data on another site where you can see the actual cities on a map, where we have that data.

This United States map is a Google Sheet view of the US showing which states have more

Finally, there are a few maps of data that can be found in the Google Sheet on the Statistics page.

Hello, number 26 here, located in New Carlisle, IN. Loving the car, took delivery 11.26, but she's all tucked away sleeping for the winter hibernation.

I LOVE the special edition GS, and I love the blue interior.

If it wasn't so god awful expensive for a GS, I would own it in a heart beat.

first i'd like to say that if I had the choice when i purchased mine to grab one for the same price as my almost 100k Z06 it would have been hard for me to turn it down! I love that car...

John M, your convertible is absolutely insane..

OP, you should start a list in your POST and start in number order with forum member name next to the number..

very cool idea, hopefully they make it a "sticky"

some pics i grabbed at carlisle this year. car was SWAMPED these were the best i could get lol

I really wanted one, but it was $10k over a GS I built and ordered... seemed like a lot for the blue, which I do love

I've updated the OP to make it more of a registry and included some facts which I'll update as I collect more. Is that what you were kind of thinking? How does one get a post made a sticky?

John, I've updated the original post with some facts about the series. I know the coupe VIN ends in 5300XXXX, can you confirm what the convertible VIN sequence looks like? I'm thinking it likely is the same but want to confirm as I've seen reference to other collectors series where the convertible had a different series, but the circumstances were different I think.

Never mind on the VIN question, found one for sale and confirmed it is the same series number on the vert vs coupe.

Did you get the Z07 package on yours?

Hello, in order to buy the GS, I sold my 2016 ZO6/ZO7, 7 SP. This was necessary due to just having a total right knee replacement on 12/5. My Doctor told me it was time to get a automatic. So on 12/17 the dealer delivered my Collector Edition. The car was produced the 3rd week in November, and is VIN # 093, it lives in Long Beach, Ca. My only problem at the moment is, with my recent surgery, I have yet to drive the car. The Doctor tells me he will release me on 2/15. So at the moment , I just stand and stare at it, she is beautiful.

Sorry about your knee, I'm not far behind you I think, 4 knee operations across both knees over the years its just a matter of time!

Please post pics of yours when you get a chance! I've added you to the registry spreadsheet, can you confirm some details?
Coupe or vert?
Z07 equipped?

Ken
