He is from the future! Just like phones have all become phablets these days, key fobs are all going to become huge in the future as well. And god damn that's a big fob.

I think this is the smallest size theoretically we can do for the key fob. You guys can tell from Pictures below.

Still too big and aesthetics aside ( I like the look), it won't fit into the steering wheel slot.

If your battery dies, the emergency key isn't going to start the car, but the OEM fob can be inserted into the pocket on the right side of the steering column and do that.

I don't see how that's possible, but if it did, will it start the car?

I won't believe it's possible until I see a video of it working with either a dead or missing/removed battery. Otherwise it's just a case of close is good enough.

That case is 50% wider than the OEM case, which just fits snugly in the slot.

Perhaps the arrow head will fit in the slot and stay there, but the point of the slot is that a dead OEM fob will still start the car. I've never understood exactly how, but assumed there is a sensor in the slot that detects the presence of the OEM fob, when snugly inserted.

I don't know exactly how it does it w/o a battery, but it does.

Some sort of RFID kind of thing?

eta: the fob with no battery has to be IN the slot to work. Near does not work.

Here is the thing, you can start the car without battery after you get inside of your car, just put this forb (inculde circuit board) close enouth to the slot area , it will work. However without battery you can't do remote control start and eletric lock/unlock the car, that's it. Our fob will still be able to put inside of the key slot, but not very tight BTW.

No disrespect intended. Just my opinion.
Perhaps you should be on the advertising staff for the OP. Great sales pitch.

so now you can carry a fob that is larger than the already too large OEM fob and carry another key chain with the emergency key around, all for the price of 200 to 300 dollars. good luck with that.
