NCM Bash-Transmission presentation called From 3 speed-10 Speed-Now the truth Post 68

I also saw a quote from a year or so ago where a GM representative said the new 10 speed they devolved would not fit in the C7. Perhaps they made some modifications but nothing is certain.

OP, why did you start two threads on the same topic?
And for those reading this thread, an A10 is not planned for the 2018 Corvette.

Still a leap of faith. They could be contrasting the Camaro and tell us why the A10 won't fit the C7 chassis, so we'll have to wait until the C8. Why go to the expense of a retrofit if the C8 is around the corner? Or maybe it's a bolt-in replacement. Who knows? I don't.

It also isn't wearing a 3 speed.

of course not its a presentation on the progress of GMs Gear boxes showcasing the latter upcoming 10 speed. IMO you wouldn't even mention a 10 speed if you weren't going to offer it.

Exactly...which does not translate to the 2018 Corvette getting the 10 speed just because it's available. Why wouldn't Paul talk about the full range of GM transmissions and not leave out the 10 speed? People would ask about it anyway...and some will undoubtedly ask why it's not in the 7th gen Corvette. I bet Paul answers that question in his presentation, actually.

Given the verbiage on the bash agenda (see post # 3), it doesn't seem the least bit odd to speculate that there will indeed be a 10-speed in the 2018 Corvette. It's tough to come up with a reason why they'd be talking about it at the bash if it wasn't Corvette-related. BTW, I didn't get the impression the OP came to a conclusion on this; he presented it as a possibility based on information that is on the bash agenda.

The OP started two threads that have been merged into one. In one thread, the title was "10 Speed Automatic for 2018!!" That's where I suggested the OP had jumped to a conclusion.

If they were discussing transmissions for the corvette, I would think they would start with the 2 speed to 10 speed line, 3 speed was the manual. But I agree that if GM is going to do a presentation at the bash about the superior transmission( as they have said) and then say we will not get it, well IQs must have dropped sharply in management.

I'm sorry, that's not my intent. I actually told you what I know and I'm not playing a game about it.

C8 will get the 10 speed with a TT V6. I don't have a source, JMHO.
