Default Video: How I removed badges

I have been searching for a video on how to remove the badges from the car and replace with black carbon flash badges. There were none specific to the corvette. So I made one of me changing mine. Enjoy!

Thanks for the how-to vid. If I didn't already have the Carbon flash emblem option on my C7, I would have done exactly what you did with aftermarket. The Carbon flash looks great.

jairmeeg, Thanks for the video. Two questions, please forgive my ignorance. Did you use a household hair dryer or is that some sort of heat gun? If it's a heat gun, what type?
Was the string you used something special or just household string. Again, any recommendation very much appreciated.
I'm not going to change to black, just very interested in removing the fish.
Thanks

Excellent work! Looks great...are you going to convert the wheels and mirrors to carbon flash too?

Simple. 10 lb fishing line. Cut long, 2 foot pieces and get it behind whatever you want off. Wrap around fingers and go back and forth with a little force. You can takeep off the front or back flags in maybe 2 or 3 minutes!

Excellent preparation and application-only comment is I would have pressed down on the emblem/fish with a little more effort and made sure I pressed on all of the areas in making sure it sticks on the car forever.

It is a basic hair dryer and dental floss. I had to heat it a few times and the dental floss kept breaking. I would use braided fishing line next time.

Thanks for all the kind comments. There were no videos for me to go off of so I gave it my best. So far so good.

How did you get floss or fish line behind the flags to get them off? They are in a depression.

Very good video - I like your method of installing the side emblems.

There is just enough room to slide it in there.
