You are correct. He saved the Corvette in a letter he wrote the GM big wigs in 1955!!

Love seeing your pictures every week. Keep on finding those Springsteen pictures with his corvettes.

Great pics, new owners and old fotos. But the one I liked was the Museum pic of the damaged Vette being moved, and the one that made me laff out loud was the Star Wars "soldier" driving the "police" Vette. All great fotos tho. Thanks.

Fantastic collection of photos. Love 'em all, well almost. Seeing Bruce Springsteen in a Corvette makes me sick. Anyone who claims openly that he's ashamed to be an American, shouldn't be associated with a Corvette. I especially like the car lots full of Vettes, and the celebs with their Vettes.

Thanks for the pics!

Thanks for another great batch of pictures. Favorite this week is the white 61. The red tail lights and other accents make that picture "pop."

55° yesterday, so added another 40 miles, up to 460.

Have fun at Daytona!

I detest the politics of Bruce Springsteen (although I admit that I love his older, pre-1990s music) and am not exactly on the same page politically as Joe Biden. That being said, I do take some comfort in knowing that both of them are Corvette owners.

I think that a love of something (Corvettes, muscle cars, firearms, busty women, bacon or even space exploration) by people from different walks of life can transcend political boundaries. If I saw a fellow Corvette owner with a Hillary sticker on his car (not good to have ANY sticker on a 'Vette, but that's just my opinion), I would still compliment him on his taste in vehicles.

The USA is a large enough place that there's sufficient room for us to be happy, prosperous and to enjoy our passion for cars.

P.S. My stepfather is pretty far out there in "left" field politically, but has a Porsche and a BMW. He also considered getting a Z06 a few years ago when his friend bought one, but went with the Porsche Boxster S. We don't agree on much, but do share similar appreciation of Tennessee Whiskey and great cars.

Mike, I like the celebrity photo of Zora the best, with him standing by the Sebring Silver Split Window! He looks great in his dark suit and with his pocket handkerchief! People knew how to dress for success in those days!

Any info on the train load of mid years?
I'm 'assuming' they must be bodies coming from A.O. Smith headed
to St Louis since I notice they don't appear to be complete...

Thanks - geo

Mike, Here is a pic of the '62 in your last thread. A special factory Cadillac color. I took this picture of it at Judd Kuhns Chevrolet (Little River SC) about 2 years ago. Can't remember the asking price.

Any pic of a 63 gets my attention, but this time I really like the first Zora pic. He looks so dapper in that perfect suit!

Another great week.....I have to admit I grab some of your photos for my old pic collection....appreciate your efforts very much! Getting harder and harder to find "new stuff."

Here is one for your celebrity shots, you may have it already....Bill Shatner during his Star Trek years...the Doberman dog was his and he used to have it on the exterior sets on some of the Star Trek episodes...saw a behind the scenes 8mm film of he and the dog on the set of one of the last episodes. Notice the rare luggage rack on the back!

That was one of my first celebrity shots I posted a few years ago. Iconic shot.
