I have a set of the Z06 style, and will say they are very nice wheels. But, if my car would have came with the chrome Z51's I would have stayed with them.

Mine came with the black base 18/19 wheels, and I'm not one for black wheels. That's the reason I changed.

I like the Z51 wheels better. And I own a Z06. I just like the simpler design, and the Z51 wheels are pretty similar to a Ferrari design.

Agree, Z51 are soooooo much easier. But ya know what....? Get custom wheels.......everyone has the same and it gets old. Next car base silver wheels and to the wheel shop on the way home.

I'm going to throw another monkey wrench in. Take a look at the reproduction grand sport wheels. I was 99% sure i was going to get z06 wheels when i upgrade, but as others said, many more crevices to keep clean. I also want to show the red calipers i paid for and the GS wheels are more spaced out. I'm going with black GS reproduction wheels in a few weeks

GS-style wheels aren't available in Z51 sizes yet.

There are not a lot of aftermarket wheels to pick from for a base Corvette.

If they are, it's very recent. I checked a month or so ago.

I went with the stock standard silver painted wheel. They look nice and will allow the car to achieve rated performance. There is no financial gain replacing wheels.

Thanks. My car had those silver painted wheels when I bought it and 2 or 3 weeks later I swapped 'em out for GM OEM chrome set.

If I were concerned about 'financial gain', I would not have bought my Corvette in the first place. I like a sharp looking car and am now trying to find the best looking wheels for it. The OEM's are nice, but when I see a set of wheels that I think enhances the overall look of the car, I may be buying them.

I'd keep the stockers or go with at least a flow forged wheel. No way am I putting reproduction wheels on my car.

On your car the Chrome Z51 wheels looks very sharp. I'm thinking the Z06 wheels chrome and black are a little busy looking. Now those XO Verona's are another story.. Here's mine with Black and Chrome C7 Z51 wheels

You can't get the Z06 style in a wider wheel...so I'd stay Z51. That said, I saw a set of Z06 reps done in black chrome that were beautiful, but I'd rather have a wider wheel for more meat. The perfect solution to me would be your wheels offered in 11"!

I like the Z51 wheels far more than the Z06 wheels. I like the GS wheels far more than the Z06 wheels... I guess I just don't like the Z06 wheels that much!

Actually, I do like them over the early C7 base model wheels, which I really do not like. At the time, there were similar wheels on other Chevys, which is a Vette travesty, imo.

Maybe part of it is that I'm lazy and I don't want to have to clean a wheel like the Z06 wheel... much more work than a Z51 or GS wheel!

I am a biased fan of the current Z06 wheel. They are a chore to clean in a hurry.

I also really like the Wheels that come with the Spice red interior option. But you would need a wide body kit.

The R86 wheels are the same dimensions as the Z51 so wide body kit not required...
