I was looking through my photo library and I realized that I had shot pics of all the sports cars I've owned since 2006 at the same place with similar lenses. It's an interesting mix of cars that I've been through and all were quite good and very reliable....except for the Mercedes that was in the shop 10 times in six months. Had it not been under warranty, it would have racked up $20K in repair costs....guess why I don't have it any more?
I would rank the C7 as the best of the bunch although I do think the C6 GS convertible may be a more elegant (but less aggressive) design. Although I've only had the C7 for 10 days, I'm very impressed by the build quality and interior. Nothing is as stunning as the interior of the SL550, but I certainly don't feel like I've taken a step down with the C7. The Mercedes was a wannabe sports car: very fast but way too heavy and a bit too soft. It was also overpriced. The original sticker was $130K and it really didn't seem like a car that should cost that much. I've heard that the profits on this car are very high for MB. I did enjoy it for a while, but I grew bored with it after a few months....almost too refined. On the other end of the spectrum, the 370Z was solid and fun to drive. I love the design, but unfortunately the car needed another 100 HP.
I would rank them generally in this order: C7, C6 GS, SL550, the remaining C6's, and the Z.
nice 370Z that is a 40th anniversary right? I have a regular sport package and agree it could use some more power. I considered getting a TT kit which would probably put it around 500 whp but decided that money would better be used in saving for a C7
Seriously? Perhaps you're the same gutless a$$ who threw a coke at my C7 when it first arrived.
FYI, I've worked hard my entire life for every dime I have. And if you have a half a brain, you can buy sell these things right and rarely come out of pocket. The only cars that were purchased new are the first one and the last one. Everything else was purchased used. I kept the blue C6 for almost three years and sold it for $100 more than I paid for it. I paid less than 50% of sticker for the barely used MB, kept it for six months and sold for $1K less than I paid for it. The equity of that car almost equalled the price of the new C7 after the discounts.

blue G.S. is the profile winner. Helped out a little by those rims.
Yes. I would still have that car if someone had not stepped up and met my selling price....took six months to sell and I didn't care if it sold or not. Great car.

I had a 2003 350Z that I put an APS twin turbo package on. Car had about 510 HP at the crank. It could certainly handle the power, but I questioned the long term durability of the engine. I sold it to guy who totaled it two days after he got it. Here's a pic:

OP . . . that is such a great bunch of cars with blue and grey leading the way . . so, what is the delta between coupe and convertible? i see you have a mix and just wanted to know your thought . . . also, what is your favorite color, I really like the blue GS vert, that is nice!
Very nice collection! I wish I had pictures of all my sports cars over the years not sure why it never occurred to me until now! I may have to just settle for pictures of cars like the cars I owned not that it is a long list but a fun list none the less.

I prefer convertibles, but the roofline on C7 was just too good to pass up.
I do love the JSB C6, and until I got the C7, I thought selling it might have been a mistake.....but the C7 is a substantially better car. Best car I've ever owned, I think. As far as color, I'm partial to the dark grays. I think the color adds a richness to the design that no other color does. It works very well with the C7 GS ground effects. They blend in very well without having to go to a black car, which IMHO hides the lines of the car too much.
