Several new owners are really going to be disappointed...I'm sure this happens a couple times a year and replacement builds will go to the front of the line. It looks like three will be write-offs.

My dealer in Tampa, FL thinks this may have been his shipment. He got notice that cars were supposed to be delivered yesterday and the cars have not showed up. Fingers crossed!
One car was a customer order. The rest were for stock.

The truckers have a damned good record, considering how many are shipped every year. Guessing carrier was rear ended by DT.
Of all the things he could've hit (assuming a RE job & his fault) he hits a carrier outa BG loaded w/ brand new '17 C7s. Makes a grown man cry.
Plus, DT driver's insurance will not be amused saddled w/ a potential bill at/around $200 large for damaged cars & trailer.

I don't get it. How did the trailer on the other truck get so mangled on the side? Did it jacknife into the rear of the car carrier?

He pretty clearly swerved to avoid a rear-ender, and the cab cleared, but the trailer didn't.

Pics only show the rear of the trailer and 4 damaged cars. The trailer received significant damage. I wonder how they will get the rest of the cars off since all of the hydraulics and ramps look like garbage.

I have seen where cars on a damaged car carrier were off loaded with a crane. Mechanics will get the movable carrier ramps positioned to facilate the job. The car's look like they are repairable.

Good news for my dealer in Tampa. All 7 of his cars were on that transporter and none of them were damaged! They just arrived. I am told that the transporters hold 11 cars. Lucky!
The driver that just delivered them went to help get them off loaded and onto his truck. They had to cut off the rear of the trailer to get the cars off. Apparently the trailer that hit the Corvettes hauls chicken guts. It's a good thing the trailer was empty or all the cars would of been destroyed due to bacteria. Three cars were a complete loss.

Apparently the Corvette transporter was stopped on the highway and the chicken guts hauler was barreling down from behind. He swerved into the other lane at the last minute but caught the back end of the rear corvette.
