Default Add 2LT Subwoofer/Amp to 1LT???

Has ANYONE been able to successfully add the OEM 2LT subwoofer to a 1LT? As I understand it this would involve buying the GM subwoofer, some rear cargo trim parts (with openings for the sub) and swapping out the existing GM amp for the GM amp that accommodates the 2LT subwoofer?

Do you really need the sub? I wanted the 2LT but went with a 1LT because of a deal I found. I think the 1LT has a ton of bass already.

I don't need it but I would really like it. I love rich bass and this would be a relatively simple way to upgrade from the 9-speaker 1LT sound system to the 2LT 10-speaker sound system.

Looks like you have everything covered. I've read several related threads on the topic, but don't remember if anyone has actually successfully pulled it off . Hopefully someone will chime it with personal experience. Good luck.

Probably easier/cheaper to add an aftermarket sub and amp

I'm curious on this as well. Seems like it would be really easy. I had a 15 2lt and now have a 16 1lt. I wouldn't say the sub made a huge difference but it was noticeable.

The problem for me with aftermarket stuff is it taking up room in the rear, and im not looking for window rattling bass.

So I'm thinking I'm gonna try and tackle this. After looking through everything it looks like we should be able to do it. I've still got a few questions though like do I need to upgrade my amplifier, or is the one we have ok. If someone can chime in who might know
