Default Can you help me decide between these two Vettes?

Hello,

I am buying my first vette, loan is approved, everything is in place, I have two I am stuck on. Never owned a vette before but I have wanted once since I was 11 years old. Oddly enough these Vettes are almost the same cost, the 2016 is about 1500 more.

First Vette Option
2016 Z51 2LT
Magnetic Ride Control
Video Data Recorder
Hood Liner
Stingray Sill Plates
Front Camera
Long Beach Red Metallic
1 Owner
9581 miles
7 speed manual transmission (yes I can drive a stick, but it wasn't my first choice)

Second Option
2015 ZF1 Appearance package 3LT
Blacked out, Machined rims
Performance Exhaust
Data Recorder
Stingray Hood Liner
Transparent Roof Panel
Automatic
Daytona Sunrise Orange Metallic
1 Owner
12900 Miles

Here are my concerns, will I like driving a stick, it was fun when I was younger, now I am 40. However the stick is newer and has more features. I just don't know. What would you do? thanks!

I'd go for #1. It has magnetic ride control and standard equipment not available in '15 like the front cameras and CarPlay if you're in to that sort of thing. And in getting the M7 you won't have issues with the A8 tranny.

I have a 2015 A8, with Z51 performance package.
I have owned a 1967 Shelby Cobra Jet 4 speed, and a 1970 Ford Torino Cobra Jet, 4 speed also.
I absolutely love the automatic, I never thought I would.
So I highly recommend the automatic

M7, Auto's are having lots of problems, even in 2017 models.

Get the Camera upgrade on the 16 model - you'll like it allot. new cars have them nowadays so why not you. If tranny outweighs that I recommend the A8 - you'll love launch control far greater in the A8 vs the M7...... just my experience.

My vote would be for the 2016 M7 with MRC. I have a 2015 Z51 M7 with MRC. Love it. I am so glad I ordered the MRC

OK.......I'll turn the Q above you posed, around on you:
Will you like driving an automatic?

That, is the Q, in my mind.
You either like the stick OR, the automatic.

I will probably never own another automatic transmission Corvette. One, was enough. I still regret not buying a stick C3, 40 years later. Just my .02¢

I am nearly 30 years older than you and I drive a stick. I shouldn't think at your age would be a problem. Besides there's no greater driving pleasure than stirring the gears. The Long Beach red, by the way, is an awesome color.

I am actually in Michigan! So far the polls look like they are leaning to the Manual, I really appreciate everyone's input! I didn't expect so many responses. I do feel like a manual is more sporty, but I heard the automatic had better resell/is more convenient in traffic and what not.
I plan on making this my daily driver when it isn't snowing.

I'd get the newer one with less miles-plus it has a stick which I consider a plus. The question is do you consider it a plus? Only you can decide that one.
