I get it from a GM web site that only employees and dealers have access to.

I am in the same boat waiting for the constraint to be lifted. Ordered a Z06 and now it's just a waiting game. Hopefully with in the next week or two the constraint will be lifted.

Have you be officially notified that you are part of constraint?

There are no Grand Sport or Z06 orders with the standard (J56) brakes being accepted. The best thing to do is to ask the selling dealer for the order's current event code. Unless it's at 2000 or higher, the order is just sitting, waiting to be picked up. If the order includes J56 brakes, it has zero chance of being picked up until the constraint is either eased or lifted. In most (but not all) cases, 0% constraints are eased gradually. In such cases the item in question becomes available but only in limited numbers. This means that some orders with the item but not necessarily all will be picked up.

Hard enough for GM to sell the Grand Sport with the standard brakes. How do they expect to sell them with a "mandatory" expensive brake upgrade, that most buyers don't want?

Yup, was officially notified last week when the constraint went out. Now its a Thursday to Thursday waiting game to see when it will be accepted. I really don't mind because I am doing the museum delivery and driving her home. Also the factory has been going through orders pretty quickly lately. So this will just push me back for a late April early May build anyway and that's what I wanted in the first place.

Darn. I have one ordered and haven't heard anything yet. Guess I'll keep my fingers crossed for now. I seem to be falling very close to the date range unavailability. Hopefully I will know something soon.

The j56 brakes have been on and off constraint I had to wait about two weeks for my order to be accepted 2/2. So hopefully you'll wont have to wait long.

Nice I have a TPW of 3/6 and it still hasn't gone to 3400. This is for a z06 though.

Getting ready to battle my local dealer for my $2k build deposit back and order from a forum dealer

Of course ordering from another dealer would put you in the same situation, right? Or are you thinking one of the larger dealers may have something close to the configuration you're looking for?

Forum dealer has them in stock ready to go, only option they do not have is the carbon flash mirrors and that's not a deal breaker for me.

And get this my dealer says "we can get you something if your flexible on transmission and wheel/car color"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF??? really dude?!?!

Yea, that's crazy. I'd get the deposit back for that, they don't get it :-)

Mirrors can be painted, wrapped or replaced if needed. And one of those bigger dealers may have some other options. And you'll get it quicker!
