Looking at the clear side markers
I'm thinking of going with the clear side markers. I imagine that I would have to use amber bulbs on the front and red bulbs for the rear.
Does anyone know the bulb type/size ?

If you buy clear markers from any of the vendors I've seen that carry them, you won't need bulbs, it's all one piece.

Something like this from a supporting vendor may work for you. There are a few manufacturers, so shop around to find what you really like. Good luck and post pics when you're done!

Another option, although not clear, is to tint the side markers. This also makes them less obvious and blend on better with the car. Tint film kits start as low as $18 and the one I got was around $30.

Has anyone used the GScreations lights ? I'm wondering if they are good quality.

I actually bought these from GS and installed them on my 2016 Blade Silver and they look great. In fact they look like they should have always been clear from the factory. Glad I went this route in fact my wife walked out and said she really like the new look.

The GSC product is the link I provided to you from RPI. I installed them a little over a year ago in my Arctic White and love them. Easy peasy to install and they look factory!

YES change the McDonalds arches.....I also have the gs creations but in smoke......easy mod but on the z06 you have more to remove but pretty straight forward....quality is equal to oem.....it's just swapping plastic for plastic.....Enjoy!!

So I'm sold on the GScreations due to OEM replacement and avoiding issues that come with film. But there is one advantage I see with the film : I prefer a light smoke and not the blackout effect. The smoke units from GSC seem really dark. I'm not into the 'blackout' look.
Is there a way to DIY 'lightly' smoke clear lenses ?

Here's another option. If you go the route I did - gel-coat the lights using the vendor I do - you can specify the color and darkness of the tint to your preference. Todd will do whatever you need and for a very reasonable price. He offers tinting for the entire side and rear marker set as well as the tail lights for a lot less than what the GSC inserts cost.
I had Todd put less tint on the backup portion of the lens and keep the darkness to a medium dark level as opposed to the black cherry he did to my C5 lights.
As a comparison - my C5 lights in Black Cherry.

I have not. But there are amber bulbs that are coated with a silver color such that, in a clear housing, they don't stand out and are only amber when they are powered / shining.
I don't know if any C7 housings are such that the bulbs are replaceable, however.
